It was cold out today. Not cold like in the US, or Canada, or Britain, or Europe, but still fcuking cold. We had a high of 57 degrees, which is around 20 lower than this time last week.

I spent 5 hours crawling around my cold concrete floor greasing the drive shaft and final drive assembly on my 'Wang, because I was worried that it hadn't been done in the last 10 years.

Anyway, it's all done now and won't need touching for another year or so. Good thing is it's warming up again during the week, so I might have to do my 600 mile weekly commute on the bike, and leave the company car at home. I love my job........ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Busy afternoon. Picked up a Suzuki 500 Titan for a new project on the cheap.Has spark and compression. Pulled out another 750 from the line I may sell,a 1975.Have not ridden since the middle of last summer and was surprised it started on the second kick.Rode it a little.Like the sound of that pipe. Pulled the battery out of the 900F to get that ready for some fun and tore my trusty lawn tractor apart to replace a blown head gasket. Baby was smokin' more than a two stroke runnin' rich  :D

I drove mine to work at 6 degrees C and came home at 10C yesterday at 110KPH . Seemed fine to me at the beginning of the season but once spoiled by summer we can turn into wimps. Once winter hits you'll have second thoughts about being a 10-15 C a55ed dude by missing out on some suitable terms. My garage never sees 57 in the winter and I spend lots of time there. Fooking cold is wrenching outside on top of a wet isolated mountain, in the wind, with temps hovering around freezing.....its quickly goes down hill from there! :)

rt

Ha ha, that's too fcuking cold for me mate, I guess it's what you're used to, but I hate the fcuking cold! Cheers, Terry. ;D

I wish the Z1 was mine Terry but that and the nice Harley in that picture belong to my shop buddy/mechanic friend. He has a key to the place. He has owned the Z1 for around 34 years now,has a 1015 kit and some other goodies in it. Good thing though is I get to ride them  ;) I'm kinda liking that Harley--Oh o------------

Going to play with my 750 F today. It previously had a wndjammer fairing on it which meant I had to find all the parts I needed for the headlight assembly. I was able to get all that but now I need to figure out the rats nest wiring job where a PO had adapted the windjammer wiring to the original harness.

Changed the oil in the K6. Cut up a milk lug and came up with this little number that worked really well. Only thing is that the sidecover needs to come off for it to get wedged in enough to sit withought having to hold it.

Going to go back in the garage and do a full tune-up before the slimey crud run tomorrow.

Call me an outlaw, lawless, or whatever, but I took my cb500, title-less, plateless, registration-less, out for a 25 miles test run this afternoon.

Filled up the tank, got on freeway and pulled strong to 80mph.

(got registration/title process started at aaa yesterday, and they gave me a temporary registration)

Been there, done that (except I had the expired plate). My excuse at the time was that I had to "break in" my new motorcycle license ;D

Another oil change on the 550...

And ... put some more parts on the 750...
The fenders, brakes, grab bar, turn signals, tail light, handlebars, oil tank, battery box, tool tray, seat & latch, gauges, cables, and a few other do-dads...
Down to one more little basket of parts ;) ... wire harness and a few other things.
Gonna do some painting on the headlight bucket and side covers now.

It'll be nice to get it running for the summer... I've just about worn out the rear tire on the 550 :)

Bought a battery for the 550 SS! I would work on it to get running but I am beat. Had a weeding to stand up in yesterday while my boys were at the State Freestyle meet. Then drove to the Dells after during the reception to make todays Greco state... Youngest took 2nd in Freestyle and 3rd in Greco. 8)

I picked up a parts bike...drum roll... with title!

Hopefully with this I can swap in the other engine I have, which I believe is good, and pull together a running bike quickly.

What I can't figure out is how the hell the PO got his feet on the highway pegs.

Coke, that mustang is my neighbor's.  I asked him couple times if it was for sale.  Appearantly, he just let it sit under weather.

As a side note, I had '69 mustang fastback 302 engine back in late 90's. Until today, great memories with that car and regret that I sold it.

been slowly working on the putting back together part of my 750f. i hand built this wire harness and have used LED bulbs everywhere but the headlight.  have one of them fancy electronic flashers.  can not make the danged front signals blink for nothing.  noticed today that i have a very faint clicking sound coming from that flasher as soon as the battery is hooked up, before i even turn the blinkers on.  that tells me either i got a bad flasher or i got power feeding from somewhere, or i got a wire or 2 crossed.
will figure it out before i get ready to start it up for first time in  almost 2 years.

silly dumbass me................................forgot to ground the front signals. no wonder they wouldnt work
