Slight adjustment on the points... new plugs
Put the mirrors on... and the vin tag...
Wiped off the remaining smudges and fingerprints...

Today I was working on the front brakes of my 750f I picked up recently and found out why the front brakes didn't work, the brake pads were gone as in someone took the calipers off and removed the pads then stuck the calipers back on. I guess that's why the brakes didn't work.  :o

I have them in Black ... Love 'em..
Not too loud at all... and not too quiet either ... the perfect growl imho ;)

They sound great! ... as good as an old school Rolling Stones jam. :)

+1, who'd have thought a 100 dollar hooker could sound so sweet???? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Finally finished my 74 750 today and went for a 25 mile ride. She drove great and pulls strong.  Thanks to Godffrey for taking half of Friday to teach me how to rebuild a clutch.

The garage is a mess but here are all the bikes. I like the color differences.

Installed my new stainless, polished spokes on my new chrome rims. Pretty. Also, installed my AllBalls wheel bearings, front and back, into the hubs.

My modified fuel injection throttle body set up arrived in the mail today for my 1000cc engine and they are absolutely beautiful. Pics to follow.... 8)

Ooohh, we have got to see that.

Here you go fellas, These were modified by Justin Webster {forum member midnight08} He shortened the throttle body rack to fit the Honda 750 spacing, moved the throttle linkage from the end to the middle, made a new fuel rail and tigged up fittings for fuel delivery, i am extremely happy with his work and am working with him to make some more one off parts for my projects... ;)

That is a pretty badass setup there. What are you doing to use to control it? DIYautotune is the site for megasquirt EFI

Yes, megasquirt efi and dyna 2000 with the CD  for {programming}  changing curves. There's a couple of guys that have already done some ground work with this set up on a 750/4 so i'll have somewhere to start, better than starting from scratch... ;)

Megasquirt can control timing/ignition with a pretty wide range of ignition styles if you can/willing to adapt stuff. Like optical or hall effect pickup, phasers, pretty cool stuff

Yeah it is definitely an advantage to have a base map that will get the bike started better than ever. It leaves all the work and headache for max tuning

Rode to work this AM. Before heading out of town I topped off the tank. When I went to start it both fuses blew, am thinking the headlight must have shorted out as I don't have a headlight now... But the spare fuses I have been carrying around the last few years finally paid off  ;) So gents carry some spare fuses, you might not need em for a bit, but when you do, it's back on the road for you!

Retro, I am glad you are happy with your product. It was a pleasure working on it for you. Let me know when you are ready for those other parts!!!

If anyone else is interested in "custom" one-off parts, let me know. I would be happy to see what I can do for the rest of the community here.

Also, for those that haven't looked in the for sale section recently. I am starting to make quality parts for our old girls. We currently have an oil pressure gauge adapter for sale. You can check them out on our website here: www.jwebsterdesigns.com

We are also working on an oil gauge set up for the CB550's, and rear sets that work properly on these old bikes that will retain all original functions.

Thanks!
