Installed new front sprocket and chain. Also installed rim band and new tube on rear, but due to my over exuberance added to my ever present incompetence I ended up puncturing the tube.  :'( :'(

Then I just cursed a lot :D :D :D

Installed some new Avon Roadrider am26 on my f2.

I can finally corner without having to wrestle with 10 year old flat center tires.

After two months of nothing I finally finished cleaning my engine and after doing a half-assed masking job I painted the engine case with Duplicolor silver engine paint.
I was very impressed with the paint.
It was a perfect match and it was very forgiving going on.

I worked on the 650 in a dealer parking lot 15 miles from home to try and find out why its been going to 2 cyl ocasionally.   35 mph on the shoulder of the hiway sucks big time.
Funny whill doing that I seen a old toyota PU with a 650 in the back.  Of course couldnt catch it.

My SOHC comments are in my build thread. This is non-SOHC so I'll keep it short. Put the batttery tender on the mighty FJR and it was full power in a few hours. Promised myself to ride a LOT more this year than last, which won't be hard as I hardly rode at all last year.  :(

Installed my HondaMan Ignition Module permanent, after about 4 years of it sitting on top of the foam air filter  ;D  Look here if you want details: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=68071.0

Also installed a "cigarette lighter" power plug on the handlebars.  Ran 16 ga wire via a dedicated fuse and a relay that trips off the tail light wire.  May use this wire (plus another relay off black/white) to supply dedicated power to the coils.

Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Wife been #$%*in about the gas vapors.  Replaced the petcock clover seal behind the lever.  Slowed the leak down but still stinky.  Removed both fuel lines and I get a drip about every 5 secs.  Bought a new petcock today on ebay.  Hopefully this will end the stink.

Today I changed the oil and added ZDDP Plus.  Changed the brake fluid, lubed the chain, aired the tires.  Fired it up and took a short ride.  Beautiful day.

Tore it apart again today. Took the five cables off and on.  Unsynced the carbs to start over from scratch.  Cleaned the TCI connectors.  Cleaned and re-gapped the plugs.  Checked for spark, all there.

Cursed the heck out of it too.  Threatened to part her out if she did not start acting right.

Tweaked the caliper adjustment on my 500T, (for the umpteenth time) and bled the system. Finally got it to let go of the disk when I let go of the lever. Put 40 mi. on it. Nice ride ;)

Mounted my kill switch in the headlight bucket and was all impressed until I broke one of the connectors off, crap! Got my new "dash" made out of poster board for the cycle x ignition switches, fits pretty good, now I just have to pull it all off again and make it out of metal.
That which does not kill you leaves cool scabs which turn into awesome scars.

I opened the package that my new forks in to discover they were neither right nor even close to the ones that he sent me 2 high res pics of....  ::) (comstar style forks instead of spokes) So my dual disc conversion is on hold till I can get ahold of another set of forks and the right rim.  Went out to dinner felt a little better then saw someone on the road ridding the same bike as mine while driving home, had a green monster fit and considered running him off the road but thought better of it.  Gotta say getting a little discouraged at this fork swap idea I had.  I am trying to do a 79 80ish air fork dual disc setup and mount it on my bike.  I already have 81 F master, lines and calipers, was supposed to have the forks, and shortly the 80ish spoke rim with discs.  But after the forks are bad I am kinda considering selling the dual caliper set I have and just finding another single disc caliper and rotor and making a spacer to adapt it.  I was doing the 80 air fork and dual setup because I was assuming the later valving of the forks would be better (not to mention the air adjust for ride quality) and that the later disc setup would have more stopping power.  What do you guys think?

Charged batteries, installed them in my K6 and K2. Drained stabilised fuel and added fresh to both. Ran the K6, went for a 30 minute boot. Felt great to be out. K2's front caliper seized over the winter, so drained fluid and off she came just before supper.
