Stop looking at my bike's arse Cliff, it's kind of............ creepy. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Changed the fork oil, polished the front forks while I had the wheel off and a nice run up the coast road. Just seems to run sweeter every time I ride it.

Like usual not a lot of SOHC because they all run like a top  :D (wish)-- Fiddled with a recently new to me 73 GT750 today and now have power running all the way through the harness but just spark on two cylinders so far. Need to get into the points etc more. Carbs are clean and ready to go for some big first start smoke hopefully soon.
My shop buddy who thank god is a mechanic stopped in and we grabbed another lingering first start up child, a V65 Sabre I got from an original owner friend that has been laid up too long. Got her to fire etc off a bottle but dug in and took of the "dreaded V4 carbs" cause it has too be done. Not as bad as I thought so far. Jets etc are plugged and surprised it gave us what it did. Will post some pics next trip to the shop for anybody else that may consider one.
Have a VJMC ride in the Sunday morning. Sean is usually with us but think he may be doing something with Zilla and the ride. Some maybe interesting pics later guys---

replaced the choke cable. head main fuse wasn't blown...made sure I have a spare. signal and brake lights are working. put air in the tires. listened to a little Booker T and The MG's. got it started. took about 20 min to get out of traffic but got a good 50 miles or so up in the twistys after that. got back. found a park bench...doing the Sunday crossword and overheard "nice bike" a couple of times

Built an NOS Honda rear rim with new spokes. Never done one before. Got it right on the third attempt :)...Going to let someone with experience true it, and will be doing the fun part of changing bearings just before it gets trued.

Well done mate, for your wheel bearing removal, this tool is a brilliant piece of kit, I only bought one a few mmonths ago, but wish I'd found one years ago. No swearing, no sweating, no damage to your hub, and you'll have your bearings out in 5 minutes flat. (and that includes drinking a celebratory beer and congratulating yourself on how smart you've become) Cheers, Terry. ;D

I finally won against the leaking oil pump of my 1976 cb 550f  ;D

The key was to change the cover o-ring of the oil pump! Weeks before i have only changed the 3 o-rings of the pump and
the seal of the gearshaft with no success. After the leak hasn't stopped i ordered the o-ring for the pump cover at cmsnl.com and
this fixed my problem. It's all dry now  8)

cheers,
Frank

Finally got around to extending my side stand so that my bike doesn't lean like it's about to fall. Took me an hour with the welder and grinder. Why did I wait this long?

Well I got my adrenaline "fix" for the day. My youngest son picked up an '01 cbr600 F4i yesterday and brought it by today for me to check out. All I can say is wow I mean really WOW. Thank goodness it's uncomfortable for me due to a tad of arthritis in my wrists or I'd be wanting his F3 cbr600 which is almost as quick, I'm too much of a kid at heart and that bike would mean nothing but trouble for me.
