I've been off the bike for the winter, but now that the sun's coming out I've got to fix all the stuff I didn't do last winter.Today I started rebuilding the forks.Tomorrow I'll finish that and then start on the front brakes, replacing pads and cables. After that I have two new tires, and I'm going to try put them on myself. I also have a hop in the front at around 60mph so I'll try sort that out after the tires are on.
hoodellyhoo, and I quote you - thread posted 12/08/09. My first 750... I was finally able to buy a 750. I've been wanting one for sometime, mainly because the 350 is just a bit small for longer/ faster rides. My ultimate plan is to do a stock restore. When you typed those words you sounded excited and happy about finally being able to get one of these classic bikes. Times are hard in this country right now, I know because my wife just went back to work after being without a job for 2 years. We all have to do what ever it takes to support our families and pay the bills and put food on the table, but we also need a outlet, something we enjoy and I think you enjoy rebuilding your 750. I don't know your situation, but I hope you can hold on to this bike and finish the rebuild that you started. I know it would be a nice K6 when done. Good Luck, dhall
