Was hoping to finish my drag bar install with new throttle cables courtesy of '4 into 1' and a Motion Pro throttle tube. However, that came to a screeching halt when the push cable bolt snapped while tightening lightly. Great product! Nope. Hope they have a decent return policy. Oh well, it's currently -21 windchill, so no riding anytime soon.

Well that fills me with confidence, having just received throttle cables for my CB500 in the mail from 4 into 1.

I will tighten carefully...

It has begun. (The resurection of the latest basket case.)
After removing the obama-rigged/bugger welded exhaust that was on the bike when I got it, Just to see if it might work,
I tried the SS Yosimura exhaust system that I had planned on using on another project ('93 GSX1100G) that is supposed to be
for an early Bandit 1200...

I will have to lose the rear passenger pegs and the spring perch for the center-stand. As I am going to remove the center-stand anyway,
not going to be a problem.  ;) Believe it or not, that ugly/greasy shock is AFTER cleaning it several times with engine degreaser! YUK!
The shock will be changed out most likely.

Some before pictures and during the destruction/restification pic's...

Threw a set of points in the GL1000, it runs the same but now I won't suspect the points.

:-[ I was installing the engine and ancillary bits and pieces on my TS 250X. I fitted the chain, but couldn't fine neutral. Actually, it would shift gears at all. Tried the usual tricks inside the right side cover. No joy. Had to pull the engine out and split the cases.  :'(

Found this rookie mistake -

Had a nice summer day here in New York yesterday (40 degrees!) and sat outside in a tshirt and synced my carbs. Nice and tight and was able to to rip it around for a bit. Feels great!!!

Totally! It was hot yesterday here in CT, haha. Didn't get a chance to start up my bike because my shed is still snowed in, though. Lucky you. When it's more like a sustained 40° during the days I need to start my steering head bearing upgrade and fork rebuild. Can't wait.

I have to say: The row of six carburetors looks pretty impressive.

We finally had a decent day weather wise(it got up to 33 degrees)so I took my new K1 out for it's first ride. It was still a little chilly but I finally got to ride a CB750 for the first time in my riding life. It seems like a nice little bike and I was surprised at how good the stock exhaust sounds.
