TY for all the compliments, guys!  It's a work in progress, but for the time being hope to ride & enjoy the bike as it is for awhile.

That's a good looker. Any plans to badge it? (just wonderin')  Proof that a cafe'd, or semi cafe" bike can look good with fenders. Very nice. Do the Lesters allow you to run tubeless?

Yes I'm hoping to put a set of K0 badges on the tank.  It's really not a cafe (Ricky Racer's great seat makes it look cafe-ish) it's a conglomeration of CB750 parts of all years.

The Lesters do allow you to run tubeless, but they don't have an extra "rib" inside like modern rims do, so it's not quite as safe for hard cornering as current wheels are.  Right now the rear is running tubeless, and when I get some new tires, will make the front tubeless as well.  Like the idea of being able to run a plug in it if (heaven forbid) I pick up a nail somewhere inbetween bumbledodge, KS and Nowhere, OK.

Gaskets, piston rings, swing arm bushes arrived so I decided to lap some valves. Then got side tracked with Bundaberg Rum. Oh well, maybe tomorrow for the valve springs.

...and you tease us with a night shot of the gauges.    ::) let's see a full shot! :)

It was beginning to rain that night!

Ever think of powder-coating the carb bodies? Would complete the blacked out under-tank area nicely.

im got  a used broke valve head for cb 550 ..and started to test ..if i can run some rivals through the oval borings... to get Space for some bushings..and still hold it senteret..

its possibel to go the hole vay trough..by drilling a bit matrial aut at the camthain tunnel. area  its a bit smaller,, to block so the shaft not are run through to the tunnel then i can run the rival through the tunnel and veiter to the NeXT boring..its help holding it all sentered..NeXT step are to make some hardent 12 mm shafts..150 mm long..so i can use 4 long..instead for 8 short..it vill also make them more stabile..and them make some locking mekanism..by use 3-4 rivals and take ,05 mm pr stk..i hope to get drilled aut to 14,0 or 15 mm..and make some bushings 12 inside and 15 autside and eventuell tig veld them in..so no glue are used..i can run a rival through to klean up..like velding better then lockteit...but both vill vork fine i think

I finally wrapped things up on installing a boyer bransden ignition on my 750, I took my time doing it because I didn't want to butcher the existing wiring harness but still have good connections. I fired it up yesterday and after setting the timing it at least sounds pretty good but weather outside was too miserable for a test ride and the way the forecast looks I may have to wait a few days before I do.

Finished installing the brakes and headlight after the Versimold stuff. Looking like a real bike now. Just waiting for all this snow to melt here in the northeast US. Had to snap this picture.

That is a nice looking back end. Very tidy. What exhaust is on there? Is that a mirror on the Left control side?

Thanks guys. That's a reverse cone from Dime City Cycles. It's their reverse cone quiet core 18". And yes, that's a bar end mirror not quite at the bar's end.

And I just ordered a shorter clutch cable from Motion Pro today. I've been living with a stock length with a large loop...no more!

The start button on the project us working now. It took 48 seconds of starter spinning to build up oil pressure - i.e. the oil pump is primed.

I only have this one. It sounds like crap here, I may have been covering the microphone. Also, this is before a lot of other aesthetic changes. If this snow ever melts I'll make another one! It's actually currently snowing in southern CT right now.

*yells up to the heavens* "We are not your chess pieces!!!"

Edit: Might be good to add the video.

Today was a good day. Added vinyl Honda decal and cleared the tank right before the monthly antique car show.
I had so many people walk up to me saying they had a sohc4 in their shed for the last 30 years... What is wrong with people?

I was all set to put the factory seat back on my F2 yesterday when I realized the half of the seat hinge that bolts to the seat pan was long gone and no where to be seen and I can't put the seat on without it. I was so pissed at myself for not keeping it with the seat like I should have and tore the place up searching for it with no luck and I can't use the one that's on the aftermarket seat because it's welded on not bolted and I'm not sure yet if that hinge is still available from Honda. Making one myself wouldn't be a big deal so long as I had a genuine one as a template so unless someone hears my plea in the parts wanted section here I'm going to ask my kid if he can part with the hinge on his F seat so I can copy it.
