Thanks for the input guys. My brother in law will do it for cost if I don't go that route I'll come up with a retro paint scheme to compliment the look of the bike.
I've got the itch to get another and do a stock rebuild.

Bike wasn't overly impressed.

Doesn't normally drop this much oil.

Picked up my new head for my Yooper bike. Does anyone have any suggestions how to clean the head without sending it off to a small engine shop to ultra sonic clean it?

Do the traffic laws where you live allow passing on the right across a solid white line? That puts you outside the travel lanes and onto a shoulder. Seems a dangerous move and I can understand why a car might pull out in front of a stopped vehicle (car with blinker seemed to be waving the bus out) and not expect a vehicle behind it to swing around and pass on the right.

I'm glad you're unharmed, but that just seems odd driving behavior in my area?

Allowed in our driving regs. Can't drive onto a soft shoulder. Bus shouldn't have pulled out anyway.

I'm with Cal on this one. That move is not within the rules of the road in my state. (Maybe) you crazy canucks are different.

But no, the bus shouldn't have gone because the car shouldn't be waving it through.

did my first oil change on my bike. did 1,400mile on the oil the OP put in.  replaced oil filter and the spring.
adjusted clutch cable(maybe need more adjusting or replacing).
adjusted choke level so it stays up.

I did not replace the spark plugs yet because my long 18mm has gone missing  >:(

Bus shouldn't have pulled out anyway.
But the car in front of you (which had the right of way) did wave the bus out, yeah? I understand your point, but if the bus is waved on, he's certainly entitled to begin to enter traffic cautiously (which it seems he did from the limited video).

At the end of the day, its all about you being safe and unharmed. But its less important to be "right" than alive in my book.

Doesn't matter how much someone waves a vehicle to go ahead. If you're at a stop sign (bus), you're supposed to stop until traffic is clear. The Mitsubishi had the right of way but was being "nice". That is how accidents happen. Drivers being nice cause WAY too many accidents around here, especially on multi-lane roads (inside lane is nice to let someone cross traffic, then someone gets smashed in the next lane over).

I've made that same pass multiple times very safely, as was the intention today.

Oh well. Live and learn. I'll add school busses to my list of things to not trust. ;D

Reassembled cleaned carbs and original airbox. Drained gas tank and replaced pet cock filter and gasket, replaced all 3 rubber mounts with new rubber for fuel tank.  Heated and greased new fuel lines and plugged onto bottom of pet cock. (Took me a few minutes to realize easier to do with pet cock bowl off.  Duh!)

Pouted because it was raining

I was clearing space in the garage (see; catch all for things not related to motor vehicles) - when it got real dark all a sudden and rain started coming down in torrents.

Otoh, I will soon have space to work up my fork/front end rebuilds.  And winter engine project.

I ordered a front tire today.  Another S11r spitfire.

What is the cute strawberry blonde getting stuck with?

Oh give me a break!  We were all thinking it!!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

What was his name? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Gazing lustfully at bloo.
Dealing with a dead battery in the DS650 - someone left the key on for gawd knows how long.  Gotta get it movin and put the dirt tires back on.  My one mohawk tire is flat, happens whenever sand finds its way into the bead seat.

I bought one of those cheap Chinese petcocks for a 1977 cb750 once but the fuel outlet fitting on it was tiny and way too small for my gas line on the 750. Worked out great on my 1972 Yamaha 100 I had though.
