Nah mate, only did it to young snapperwhipers who knew it all, old gits like you and me got an ear whisper

Ha ha, that sounds better mate, you and the guy who does mine would get on well. He must be 70 by now, I'm buggered if I know what I'll do once he closes his doors........... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Wow, that all sounds like a pain in the ass. In our state there's only an inspection if there's a title issue. No annual MOT or anything like that. I can build or modify just about anything as long as it was already licensed and as long as I keep it it will never have to be inspected. We can just buy a collector plate if the vehicle is over 30 years old, no need to be in a club. No more annual fee but you need to have another registered daily driver. There are other states that do have annual inspections but from what I can tell it's just a money grab.

Yeah mate, you guys have it good. The trouble with Oz is that we have a land mass about the same as the USA, but with only 1/15th of your population, so the various governments need all the dollars they can gouge to pay for the infrastructure. Here in Victoria we don't have annual MOT's either, but they do in the next state over, which must be a pain in the arse.

I just need to get a roadworthy certificate when I buy a bike and like you, don't need another one during my ownership, unless the cops catch me riding it with 10 foot long home made girder forks, straight out pipes, bald tyres and a host of other stupid sh1t some people do to their bikes.

Annual fees are a pain, but that's the price you pay for living in a big country with a very small population. ;D

Really? Bloody hell, oh well, I suppose Chairman Dan needs all the money he can get for when all the families who've lost family members due to CV, all the folks who have lost their jobs and all the small businesses who've gone broke due to the stage 4 lockdown start suing him and his incompetent state government.

I'm thinking about suing him for "cruel and unusual punishment" for making me spend so much time with my wife and kids over the last 7 months! ;D

Anybody ever seen the movie "The Good The Bad and the Ugly" ? I am making a remake called the "The Ugly the Bad and the Uglier".  ;D ;D  Picked up these 3 bikes Sunday, a 1971 and 72 CB750 and a 1976 CB550. I mentioned in the past that a guy out by my house had 3 bikes buried in the back of a pole barn and I had seen them back in 2012 and left a 100.00 deposit around 4 or 5 years ago. He finally dug them out and not as purdy as I remember in the light of day. One 'good' thing is I found a really nice condition brown 1973 CB750 set of bodywork also while kicking around in there. Been looking for a nice hard to find brown 73 for my collection so now I can make one  :D Not sure if I am going to flip the bikes or make a couple of them a winter pandemic projects. Stay tuned.

Couple other people had been skulking around for them. I first met him because I had an old classic boat and he stopped at my place once to try and buy it years ago. I guess boaters stick together.  ;)

I’m not jealous Eric. I may be green with envy, covetous, riding the green eyed monster, breaking the 10th commandment, gnashing my teeth and crying myself to sleep thinking about all those wonderful barn find bargains you keep collecting, but I’m not jealous.... much. ;D

And so the fun begins Terry !!  Might as well work on two at the same time - double my pleasure and double my fun.Getting the junk stripped off and breaking down the bikes. Front brake is working and off the green one for cleaning. She was nasty, last plated in 1985. Silver K2 was last plated in 2000. Next session will be to get the carbs off and broke down and start cleaning them. Bought 2 gallons of cheap 10-40 oil so a drain, change will be done. Tappet covers are loose now with no drama so can check tappets. OHHH - the list can just keep going on and on as you all know  ;)
Goal is to hear them run first before I go too crazy or decide what to even do with them.

I put two 750's and a 50cc yamahopper in the car trailer and parked it in indoor storage.

No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
If you love it, set it free, if it stays it's probably one of my 750's.

Rode it to lunch to look out and see a guy in a pick up truck knock it over on its side...  :-X

Luckily my rusty crash bars and bar ends took the blunt of it. Scuffed my muffler a little. Tank is safe - thank god.
