Pumped up my rear tire and headed into Flint to Rocky's for a new tube. Bought tube, another tire iron, a tire valve repair tool and one of those angled feeler gauges to adjust my valves. When I got back out to the bike the tire only had 10 pounds in it. Hooked my compressor up to the lighter socket on my fairing and pumped the tire up. Disconnected the compressor from the tire and heard the hissing of an air leak. Laid my finger over the valve top and it stopped. Grabbed the new valve repair tool and tightened up the core. Hasn't lost air yet, we'll see how it is tomorrow. Didn't even try the electric starter since I'm sure the compressor ran the battery down. Fired right up on the first kick like always.
If I don't need to use the new tube I'll take it with me on the rally when it gets to Michigan. I'll probably buy a spare tube for the front as well. No telling what might happen on a 2000 mile run.
Speaking of runs, I just had to go out this afternoon. Ended up in Millington before I turned around and headed back. Only about 35-40 mile trip, but it was fun. Lots of bikes out today.
Speaking of bikes, I'll have to see if they'll let me take pics of some of the bikes they've got in Rocky's. They have some cool ones there. Some really strange ones too, I'll have to post some of them in Hush's Weird and Wonderful thread. They have a CB500/4 mounted up on the outside of their building.
