Got this Friday off :) :) going to install new shifter shaft seal on my 750KO just a little oil seepage and will drip down on #1 pipe. Time to pull out the old impact driver and remove the side cover. These are a must have tool for working on these old Honda's.

Technically you don't have to pull the cover to the change the seal, although that's how I would do it.
Don't forget to the change the cover gasket as well.

Its been wet and windy here today.  After I got back to the lot from my afternoon runs another driver asked me if I'd seen my bike.  No, I reply.  Well its laying on its side, she says.  I go out to the bike and sure enough there she lay.  I had the cover on it and that must have helped the wind do its job.  No damage to the bike though, just my back!

Today I moved my 750 and my secondary 360 from my storage to the shop at ones and zeroes.  Since I had a buddy there to help me I measured my bike for the new brake line.  34" tip to tip, 0 deg with a 45 deg and a 10 deg banjo.

Took a little ride on the K3 before digging into it, runs GREAT!
Started the winter fix it list.
Counter sprocket off, check.
Chain off, check.
Rear wheel off, check.
Rear sprocket off, check. (the bolts holding this sprocket on needed a breaker bar and some hammer help)
Will be respoking the rear rim, tossing around the idea of lacing a 16" Harley rim to the Honda hub for a little more meat on the back.
What do you guys think of this idea?

After hitting the socket with a piece of wood I was finally able to remove the oil filter housing, then followed the drain plug for a thorough oil and filter  change. Filled up with oil but the level is just showing on the dipstick, it will be checked again tomorrow - just in case. And I always check the level next day anyway - mandatory. Then we shall take a ride - probably to the beach.

Such is life - but someone's gotta do it.

Make sure to check the oil after it's warmed up.

Did nothing with her today in regard to riding. Had friends over for the Brewer game last night which resulted into a card game till 6am. My buddy wanted to the the 550K and inquired about the history. Then saw the 550F's frame . Asked how I was able to get that like it and I explained about the site and great people here who have been a huge help.

Installed a new Cycle X "Super Clutch Kit" and in the process stretched a 2 hour job into a half-day affair...  :)

God help me I brought home another one.. :P
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=97317.0

Then I adjusted the clutch on the K5 and gave the new Cycle X clutch a 50-mile workout.
The new clutch kicks ass!  :)

Also had my braking skills severely tested when the old lady in the car in front of me decided to stop at a yellow light.
Thank Honda for the mighty front disk!  It kept me from finding out what she had in the trunk! :o

And a side note, when I restored my K5 I installed the missing buzzer just for the heck of it.
A bit of riding around convinced me that that the blinker buzzer was not one of Honda's better ideas and I was going to disconnect it soon.
However, after following a guy on a Harley signaling a left turn for 10 miles today I might reconsider keeping the buzzer. Maybe..
