That's a very nice F2 that you have there Terry. Who makes the header/muffler?
Thanks

Terry,

Can't believe you'd get rid of the best bike you have. Hell, I'd take that any day over that stump pulling Triumph with the Ford Pinto engine you have  ;)

What exhaust is that?

Ha ha, thanks Guys. I bought the exhaust at a swap meet 2 years ago, it was a NOS "No Name" system from Japan, had an American company's name on the outside of the box, but I can't for the life of me remember the name? It's pretty loud and "crackles" when you back it off, but it's well tucked in and won't scrape around corners, plus it looks really cool in contrast to the black paint, don't you think?

And Jerry, as much as you and I love our CB750's, that "Stump pulling Triumph" sh1ts all over them, (and pretty much anything else) did I tell you the Dyno results? 140 BHP at the rear wheel, and 145 foot pounds of torque? I know, I know, the CB750 is 1970's "grunt" and the Trumpy is 21st Century "Shock and Awe", but when I was out riding my beautiful F2 today I'd wrench open the throttle and wait for that engine to launch me forward, and as fast as it is (compared to any other CB750........) it was er, somewhat uninspiring? Still, it is a pretty little thing..........  ;D (sorry about the crappy cell phone pic, I left my camera at home)

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

cool helmet

Thanks! I got it for 66 bucks on ebay, including shipping. It's perfect for me because it has built in sunglasses. I can't wear sunglasses in a helmet, because I have to wear glasses.
It has a switch on the side that flips the suglasses up when you don't need them.

It does look cool and I love the inbuilt sunglasses, so I just bid on this one: http://offer.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll  ;D

Yeah, those Triumphs are real brutes! I spoke with a couple guys a few years ago at Sturgis that were on them. They talked about some serious MPH compared to our old tech. Great dyno numbers. HP is nice if you have the rpms but the torque makes the difference.

Oh, OK mate, try this one, it's the chrome Masei helmet with the skeletons: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220550457333

G'Day Jerry, yeah mate, it really is awesome, a lot of Harley guys are buying them here, I've had a few come up to me and ask me about it, and tell me that they are buying one. I occasionally ride with a club of mainly Harley riders and we take it in turns to swap bikes for a leg of the ride, it's great fun, I enjoy the lazy loping pace on the Harley, and they are both "shocked and awed" by the massive torque and accelleration of the Rocket! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Fair enough John, but I think everyone here would be happy to just see the pics? Anyhoo, I thought I better take a pic of my F2 while it still looks this nice, because if it keeps dicking me around, I'm gonna set it on fire, ha ha! ;D

I think 2 new fork tubes are in order now.

I gave up on tuning the F2's carbs, I couldn't find a box of matches, so I'll take it to the shop.  :P

I gave it a wash anyway and put the battery on the charger, then put the cover over it so I didn't get side-tracked. I machined up a couple of oil cooler adapters, painted one cooler radiator and made up some fittings for the other, and I hope it'll be cool enough in my garage (34 deg C today) to spend an hour or two out there to finish them.

I might ride the Triumph to work tomorrow, I've sold (I think) the BMW and it's being collected tomorrow night (buyer flying in from Adelaide) so I'll have room to park the F2 again before I swing the axe again and sell off more of my bikes. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Cleaned the 350's tank.  Trying to figure out what's actually in it.  The stuff is oily, almost waxy, and it coats the bottom. :P
