The Weather Channel said the temp was 35F with clear skies this morning. Looked out the window and other than a little bit of frost on the bike cover, everything was clear. Headed out to work and going by a church, their sign said it was 32F. O.K. somebody's got it wrong, but who cares. Get closer to work and the roads start to look a little frosty. Right around the school the roads were almost totally white.
Park the bike at work and get off and crunch, crunch as I walk on this large grains of white stuff. Oh, its just salt I think to myself.
Then I realize this stuff is on the hoods of the Buses. It was ice chunks as if it had hailed here.
Out on my morning run I find that the roads were quite icy. The bus almost slid threw an intersection on me!
How did I manage to get to work? I asks myself. The road improve before I head for home, so I had no problem. But the ice chunks were still there on the grass and vehicle hoods and such. I get home and there was no sign of the stuff!
This all happens in a four mile radius from my house. Michigan!
