Did nothing to my bike but did go for a spin down the peninsula on a ZRX1200.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I hadn't thought about LED's RC, I don't know if they're as readily available here as in the US, but I think the H4 headlight bulb is the main offender, I'm guessing it's 100W at low beam, it's really bright, but overwhelms the alternator output. I might go for a smaller headlight bulb, but add some driving lights for high speed night riding when the alternator is pumping out the volts. I think the later bikes had a much more powerful charging system, so I might also investigate upgrading the system after I get the brakes sorted and get it on the road. Thanks for the compliments guys, nothing (for me, at least) beats the feeling of picking up a new project! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Ebay Terry they are cheap the only issue is you will either need to use inline resisters or swap your flasher unit out for a digital one.  Digitals can be found on ebay for 10 to 20 us.  I'm planning on doing this to my 750 soon as the lights def dim at idle even after I switch to the smaller "limp dick" tail light from that goldwing one I had on there before.

Ordered a few 6pt sockets for the bike. Craftsman doesn't carry 6pt sockets in anything over 22mm, so I went to Fastenal.

Took pictures of her. Bloody finger will keep me from riding for two more weeks.

Took swingarm off of 73 frame I have. Seems to be tighter than the K0. Will swap it.

Thanks for staying on top of everything guys and the compliments! Keep it coming. Writing it up this way is better/easier for me as opposed to doing an actual build thread. May throw it all together when I'm done?? It's all in mock up stage except for the shocks so far. I threw those dampers in for a late pic as you can tell from how raised they still are. The other/right way looks much better! Gotta press those suckers in tomorrow and see how much of the wheel I can finish. No one has caught me on the front forks being on the wrong sides!  :D

Had the rotors done in Georgia (?) Forgot his name for now. Nice, huh?!

Well, I sold my CB350 this week.  Now my wife has more room in the garage for her car.  She, the 350, went to a person who will treat her well.  I am happy for that.

I spent a while in Cloughy too, in a friends summer house. Small world eh?  :D

Finally found the time to fit a new brake M/cyl. I'm pleased that I can no longer get the lever to touch the throttle grip if I give it a good squeeze.  :o

Big bike part trading day today.

First stop - Terry's place. Checked out the new Beemer and chatted about rims and spokes and stuff and picked up a rim for my Bomber project (thanks Terry).

Then off to Ace Motorcycles to get the tyre off the rim so I can use the rim with my restored hub.

Back home to the shed, stripped down the CL450 triple and forks. Those CL450 forks come apart so easy, and this pair are very clean.

First eBay pick up sale of the day was the POSA manifold to a guy from Ferntree Gully who can't wait to put it on his K6 with a Mikuni carbie. And he knows Terry.

Second sale was the CB500 head, to a bloke who races a CB750 and has a CB450 and CL450 (and a few other bikes).

I am thinking I might get my triple powder coated same colour as the frame (cherry red) rather than polish the upper and leave the lower black.

So folks - any thoughts on triples the same colour as a frame?

Today I got the bike running for the season. Fuel leaking from the 2-3 fuel tube. Typical. At least I have a set or three of the o-rings somewhere. Now I have to find them. And pull the carbs, pull #4 off, find and fix the problem, reassemble, balance...
Fun times!!

Spent an hour cleaning a turbo exhaust pipe.

Also got an oil cooler in the mail from another member.

Hey thanks mate, I found a BMW parts place in England who sell a complete "Upgrade Kit" which replaces the crappy OEM alternator with a 450W output item. Woohoo! At around 500 bucks for the whole kit (plus postage) it's not cheap, but will allow me to ride with my lights on and install an electronic ignition, so is definitely worth it. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Rode the K8 about 50 miles...... has a miss between 5 and 6 k rpms  :(, but I think it's points' bounce ' on the crappy unknown points I have in there  :D... Will swap in the TEC points and plate from the K1 and see what happens....... poor 'ol K1 is becoming a doner to this K8. So far it's donated it's 120 main jets, battery and h/bar grips. Now it's points plate  :o..... oh well, I'll get new ones and put 'em in the K1, it deserves new  stuff  ;D

Finished up my stackable engine crates to help better organize my shop:

Yeah, I know, the top one is a DOHC ( :o ) that found its way in. Soon as I can find a home for it its gone! Anyone need a 79' 750 DOHC engine? Free to good home... (minus the crate)
