I found this on CL.  A 1974 CB750, $1200.00.  I haven't actually seen it but I asked the guy to hold it and we agreed that for a $100.00 deposit via paypal he would hold the bike and pull the ad.  He said the bike doesn't get spark on two cylinders, no power to that coil.  He said the chrome is all nice and the bike looks good and ran great until the electrical system went haywire.  We'll see what it looks like when I go on Sunday to pick it up.  To me if it runs with the harness baypassed and looks presentable its worth every penny.

Finished the last leg of my part in the SOHC/4 Relay Rally 2011 ( SOHC/4 World Tour).  140 miles from SeanBarney41's house to mine.  Thanks Sean, for a place to crash for a few hours.  Grand Total mileage is 2195.1 miles.  I'll post in the appropriate thread later, after some mush needed sleep.

What an amazing adventure!  Met some wonderful people and had the companionship of two great guys for the entire trip around Lake Michigan.  SeanBarney41 and BankerDanny are men of the highest caliber, in my book!

Goodnight all,

Put on new turnsignals on yesterday, and rode her to work, Thank god for this forum made wiring the new signals a breeze.

Ps. I slmost removed the beeper, but then I realized how many times I forget to turn them off even with the annoying beep. Has anyone changed the beep to another sound?

" Why does anyone get offended by what someone does to their own bike? I dont get it. "

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.
Every time any owner strips whatever precious Honda part the horrified purists parts go up in value. That's not the part that bothers them.
What bothers them is they sat up late at night, their breast full of wonder and estrogen, unable to sleep, dreaming about their lovely darling and all her glory... and next thing you know someone else doesn't share their emotional deluge and their reaction is they must spread their mind museum as far as they possibly can, taking over as much of the real world as possible.

Adjusted the other valves I was too lazy to do last time (2 & 3).  Apparently I'd left the worst for last; they were way off.

Took it to work for the first time!

...finally got her up to snuff for some reliable seat time. Sitting at a light on the way in, I caught a female Harley rider pulling down her shades, trying to figure out what I was commuting on. Made my day. :)

Test ride after the valve adjustments.  All systems are go.  No more exhaust leak.  Top end is broken in with the 650 cam, and the bike feels amazing.  There is definitely more power in the usable range, and the exhaust note is a little bit sweeter than before the 'exhaust leak' started.

Swapped out the rusty horn for a nice shiny one.  Had to swap the mounting brackets too, because someone bent the nice one's 90 degrees...

Replaced slow jets with new ones from Vintage CB.  Boy, what a difference in idle!  Actually rekindled my interest in the bike.

Well, you might have the forks back together right, but 10-30 is too thick for forks. Fortunately fork oil is not that hard too drain. Head over to your local shop and get a quart of fork oil, I think 10wt came stock, I'm a big guy, so I went with 15wt when I did mine in June.
