Routed the wire harness....................looks like a freakin mess inside of the headlight bucket.

This is gonna take a loooooooonnnnnnggggggg time to figure this out.

I really need a new right hand switch. PO did an ugly bang up job on this one.

Used the break lever as a blunt force object and gave myself a concussion.

I was kneeling down working on the clutch cable, went to stand up and *WHAM* right in the temple.  :-[

Looks like I'll be out of the garage for a couple of days.

Bleed the brakes on the 550F and in he process of tightening he valve was squirted in the eye with brake fluid... Horrible headache now.

Oh dear god... that must have sucked.

I am surprised that stuff did not just burn a hole right through the back of your head!

Damn, I hate it when that happens.

Today ....

I gave the bike away.

I gave it and all my parts to my son.  I told him if he wanted to finish building it he could have it.

Last night (technically speaking) I pulled plugs and did one final air/fuel adjustment, should be purrfect now. 2 plugs were spot on and a couple were a little to white~tan for my liking. I knew things were close with 42.32 miles per gallon AVG I ahve been getting the last 200 miles.  Then I gave the motor a "Gunk" bath and cleaned/detailed the bike up. Today, rode the shinning example to work at 70 MPH and 5K for 32 miles, and now am slaving away on the internet! Gonna be a good day!  8)

Put 1800 miles on the bike since i bought in June. It has been raining here so it sat for a couple of days, ran like crap this morning, lots of sputtering. Put in seafoam now its running much better than it ever has.

After I found out the price for a new starter solenoid for my CB500K2 I dis-assembled the old one and turned the contact bar over and now it's good for a whole lot more starts.

New turn signals all around, tightened up a few bits and got her off the blocks and onto her own two feet.  Started to bleed the front brakes, and it's not looking good.  I thought this might happen, so I ordered a new MC from Slingshot Cycle today.  Just a few more things, and I should be on the road.

Rode it in my cultasack. Still needs work, but I'm getting there! If you are wondering why I don't have a tank on it, it's because of a fuel line issue I'm having. I'm going to sort it out tomorrow.
How does the engine sound to you pro's?

For a minute there I thought you were going to light your crotch on fire trying to start the bike and we were going to have some new fodder for the Youtube thread.  Sigh.  There's always next time.... ;D  But the bike sounds good, really quiet.  Those baffles sure are doing their job.

Haha. My ignition switch is mounted on my electrics box I made, and it's not tightened down all the way so I had to apply pressure to turn the key. Thanks for the input about the engine. I think it's my camera that is dulling the sound, but it sure does sound good to me  8)

Changed my fork oil last night. Man, that old oil looked like milk and smelled like, BAD!!
Fresh 15W in, very nice response on the forks now.

Ha!  I did the same thing last weekend.  My ghetto setup was #60 o-rings from Lowe's, a drill press, a cross-slide vise, and an X-acto blade.
