What did you do to your bike today ?
« Reply #7250 on: August 14, 2011, 06:12:39 PM »
Injected some SOHC4 into a two stroke Yamaha.

I thought that was illegal in Texas....

Shhhh....don't tell anyone.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Pouring rain in Cleveland today. Finished up the headlight bypass relay. Discovered the Hi/Lo wasn't switching. Dang. Disassembled the Hi/Lo switch.  I think I've saved it with some good epoxy. Everything works now! Have to do some shake out runs before heading back to Texas.

750 F1, I put on an 18 tooth sprocket with the 48 rear. Rode it around town. I haven't tried the highway yet. Liking it so far.

Started the K8 for the first time..... started first try, no carb leaks/overflow !!.. 8)..... put a clutch cable on it after this vid. and sync'ed the carbs and rode it around in the laneway behind the house ... no brakes yet  :o

Special thanks to ; y2kcowboy (D.C.)  for the motor, madmtnmotors for the carb parts (FL) , mcouzo (NJ) for the oil tank and the P.O. for leaving the bike outside for 7 years  :o...
Little smokey but at least it ran, and could be worse.. could be 18 years.... There's a reason why 90% of my chrome is painted gloss black ;)

Recently had the same problem, found a faucet gasket at ace hardware that fit pefectly I'll find the part# for you

Messed around with the front blinkers.
It's interesting, I have two sets of front blinkers both from 750K5's.
One set has steel arms and the other set has aluminum arms. I don't know which set is newer.
The aluminum ones came on a K5 with a build date of 11/74 but I'm not sure they're original.
The aluminum arms are a couple of ounces lighter than the steel ones. I guess Honda was trying to shave some weight!

Then I contemplated my idiot lights.....
I have two sets, one with ok rubber but completely rusted.
The other set has usable sockets but the rubber is shot.
Of course the rubber is molded to the socket soooo what to do?
Hmmm, well we'll see.

Runs great, needs new tires. Came with box full of parts, including the stock muffler.

Yeah, I wish I could find out where Yamiya gets the BA9s sockets.  I'd like to build my own for less.
