Installed a new 530 x 100 links X ring chain on my K1.... went for an 80 mile ride on TN roads, passed thru' a few 'girls', Norene TN, Leanna TN and Mona TN then I ran 2 exits down on I-840... hit 3 figures just 'cos  ;)..... ( Yes, Officer 3 figures like 55.5 mph  ::) ).

polished a few more spokes.

a few weeks ago i picked up a DID aluminum/shouldered rim on fleabay (advertised as nice but not mint).  it's got specks of corrosion all over, and the spokes were absolutely shot. am planning on using my spokes/hub and refinishing the rim somehow.  i attempted to sand/polish a small area on the rim but that's not working out well.  then i tried a small area of surface prep and spray painting but that didn't work out well either.  guess i'm gonna have to get it blasted/powder-coated.  was quoted $70 last week from a guy that does real nice work, he did some duc parts for me some time back.  he has a minimum fee of $50 for paint, $20 for blasting.  i may add a few parts that will not increase the price.  so i'm going $70 over budget, dang-it.

didn't find the rim i wanted here, so i tried fleabay.  should have been more patient.

I brought home my 74 350F motor yesterday and today I sorted through a bag of bits that came with it.  Hey, I only need forks, wheels and brakes, and a seat.. well OK  ::) , AND a wiring harness, lights and 30 lb of misc metric bolts - but I got title!  Made damn sure I got title!!  ;D

Headed out in a couple days to rescue a 76 550, no title (I swore I'd never do this again..) but I'll manage.

Yesterday I put out the flames that we're engulfing my motor with a garden hose.

Finally fixed my bum ignition switch.  Got it reinstalled and all is good for right now, at least until the next problem pops up.

Figured out how to chuck the 8 valve cover caps in my lathe so I could polish them.

Took the XL250s forks apart.  One was completely empty.  Perhaps because the drain bolt is stripped.. >:(
Stripped so bad I'll probably have to re-thread it.

Change the plugs in the 350. Think it needs a new air cleaner, will see if local shop has it on hand 2day.

Still need exhaust, on the cheap.............anyone....anyone?

Shot oil in the cylinders of my 350F motor, turned it over and put it safely away in the shop.

Trailer is mounted on the van, tools loaded, we're heading out in the morning to rescue a Dec 76 CB550.  At least this one has wheels!

Fired the 350f, pissed gas all over the place.

Shut it down, wiped up the mess, put it away.

Took the 750k for a ride thru the 'hood. Still no, insurance and tags yet...........but soon........soon.

put on my 8mm dyna plug wires, checked for spark to all 4 cylinders, hooked her up to a spare gas tank and started it up for the first time since I've owned the bike...

Yeah it sure is fun.  This bike and my 650 are both coming together all at once.  I hated to leave the 650 sit all summer but the 100 degree shop temperatures were more than I could bear.  I'm headed there right now to get my frony brake bled out and sort out the hardware for my exhaust collars and flanges.

Put the rear tire assembly back on finger tight to move the bike from where I had it in the garage to a even better place for winter hibernation in the garage. Thought about scooting it over a few feet with the center stand down only... FLASH (pic of CoachDoc's bike on it's side almost) reinstalled the tire for a quick move, no tipping no foul..... ;)
