It's that time of year again for the good ole state inspection for my 750K6. I'm not far from the local Harley dealership they have no problem inspecting it as long as I give them $13.50 of course.
And the old CB is usually a good conversation piece among the Harley's. Here's a few pics of the sohc4  hanging out with the Harley's 8) But while waiting on the inspection one of the techs walked up to to me and asked if the Honda 750 was mine, yes sir it is whats wrong, did something happen to it >:( no he chuckled your into old Honda's so I thought you might want to see something ;D My heart started pumping a little faster :)

:) Pull the forks to get the ears and covers off.

:o Prepped them for the first coat of primer (to be done when I get home from work tonight).

:'( Broke the freakin speedo cable, now I gotta get a new one. >:(

On the first real ride after getting it in proper working order (you know, how it'll actually behave like a normal bike), someone cuts me off and slams on their brakes, and I end up lowsiding at 40mph... Not much damage, but my pride and tank were dented :(

Started to disassemble the CB450 motor,  :o some things don't look the greatest.  Hopping that I will find a source for some of the pieces that are a little worse for wear.

Put the front brake caliper back together on the K8 750.... new brake pads and cleaned-up piston.
Also replaced the brake hose with a Z1 make-it-yourself hose/banjo/adaptor set.... Ordered the bits from Z1 on Sun. night, had 'em in my hands Wed. @ 1pm.... I love those guys.
Bikes ready to go once I get 2 x new tires, probably D404's like the other 2 bikes  :)
Happy Turkey Day, y'all ;D

Thanks.  I felt an emptiness after selling my K4 in 3 days and did an impulse buy.

ha! I knew that bike would go fast! :)

I sold five 450 motors and tons of other parts to Mike, his email is  mls12369@aim.com .  contact him and tell him Larry gave you the email.  If he still has everything he bought from me he will have anything you should need...Larry

Took off the ignition coils, getting ready to splice in new plugs/wires because 1 and 2 are leaking sparks from the wire and boot respectively.

Also bought some rebuild stuff for the R6 forks I have, thought I'd do FunJimmy's cafe interceptor fork swap (effort/money isn't really an issue).

Left it in the shed, we have had gale force winds here in NZ for a week now! Equinoquial (sic) winds that happen ever Spring as we boot Winter to the curb, hope they gone by 3rd Dec cos I'm def riding that day with GZ. :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Went to buy a used petcock since it's almost impossible to get one for my 78 550K. While there waiting I came across some really nice chrome ears for my bike. 25 bucks for the set!!!!!! Unfortunately, at home I put on the new petcock and it leaks horribly. Have to return it.

Today was a rare day as the temp was in the mid to high 50's here in Michigan and some sun.Took down a little load of nice cherry wood to the shop for Mr. Woodburner and could hear the Old School Chop crying in the background. Had not rode her in a few months so saddled her up and ran her till after dark.Had a few cocktails out on the road with a couple of buds and a lot of fun and am pretty certain it may be my last ride of the year.Crappy pics but lots of fun, anybody notice the old Ducktail seat  8) and Pods  :o ---Last ride ?---Maybe we'll see---

Installed a new fancy brake stay from Joker Machine that looks awesome even if you can hardly see it. It needs longer bolts though because you can't get the cotter pins in and they are special bolts. Also whined, beeched, and moaned about the tank emblems from them not being formed to fit the tank (made seperate thread about that). Pics later in the day...........
