Pulled the battery, removed and drained the tank, and drained the carbs.  Then exchanged places in the garage with the snowblower.  Season is over as we just got our first snow that looks to stay. :(

I glanced down at the speedo on my way home from a club meeting yesterday & saw the odometer reading 00000.4km. Woohoo, I got a new speedo.  ;D

That's difficult for me to comprehend. Although it gets a bit chilly here in winter we're able to ride all year round. I guess it gives you time to put the bike in good shape for spring? I think it has snowed in Queensland a few times over the years, but out west a bit from here & on top of the ranges.

Come for a visit in late January.  I'll show you several feet of comprehension along with minus 20 F.  You can really earn the name Frostyboy.  ;D ;) I have a project bike in pieces in the basement so I'm good for the winter.

...ready for the next (winter) project  ;D

That seat looks legit. Is it one of the Guiliarri replicas? Or did you do it yourself.
I tried making mine like that, but the people that did my upholstery are idiots... I'm going to take it back to them and see if I can get my $ back. They said they used rivets to hold the material together, but they used screws and they are poking me in the ass!

Anyways... Nice seat! and am looking to see that project.

I installed and wired up a windjammer on my bike today.  It was 28 degrees and COLD today in Iowa, but I was riding around pretty comfortably in town.

Anybody know where I can find a set of CB750 lowers for a jammer?  Need "type 5" I believe...

Ha ha, me too. Here in Oz it's the 5th day of summer and I always laugh at the Christmas cards and decorations depicting winter scenes of snow and folks rugged up, normally on Christmas day folks in Oz are sitting around in shorts and T shirts sweating into their beer! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yeah I know Fred, I am a whore, and I like bike parts too. Ooh and I like beer too Dave, but believe it or not, that was apple juice in that glass........ ;D

Anyways, I put the ol' girl back together again, and took it for a short ride. I would have gone further but I realised that I'd forgotten to tighten a couple of fairly unimportant things like the top triple and the fender stays, so I came home, tightened things up, washed it and came inside for a grandpa nap. I was gonna mow the lawn, but hell, that can wait! ;D

Terry I like those mag wheels; who is the manufacturer & are they 18" or 17" ?
They add a lot to the custom look of your bike.

Hi Elniniomuchachos,

...no replica! it is an original seat (<--Modell:SPA don't know the name ot the other modells) but the seat cover is not original. I found a guy who was able to do the seat cover in leather  8)
I didn't know that I have the modell "SPA" and ordered the wrong seatcover. As I was takling to him on the telefone he offered that he can do the seat cover in leather for a good price and I said YES.
Here is a picture with the seat(<--ugly) and the wrong cover behind.

Have a good one...Georg

Checked the throttle line af the handle, last time it broke there. Wire wheeled 18" rim, my sweatshirt was full of wires that the propelled at me.

Today I installed the second hand Koni rear shocks I bought off eBay. I have repainted the springs and cleaned up the centres so they look pretty good on the bike (better than the rusty old chrome stock ones) and the ride feels better too.

laced up my front wheel last night, and had good luck truing it up tonight.  zero side-to-side and +/- 0.5mm on the "hop".  will have the local bike shop mount/spin balance my new spitfire.

hmmmm, what next.  my plan was to strip the battery box and elec panel for stripping and paint.  next would be cleaning the countershaft area, removing the shifter cover and cleaning in there too.  prolly check/clean the alt connections.  maybe allen head screws too.

Where did you get spokes and did you like them? I have a rear 18" to lace this winter.
