Drilled 1/4" holes in an air box for the 750, and bought an ATP turbo CB550 from Carpy!

Greggo: That looks to be an awesome buy you made! I'm really curious about some of the differences between your turbo set-up and mine. I had never seen that beautiful style header on a 500/550 before. I've seen it on other bikes but not on a 500/550. Also I hadn't seen a Del Orto carb used. I would sure like to see more pictures. What is the chrome piece that appears to be under the exhaust pipe connection at the turbo?Again, I think you made a great buy!

Moved from her parked position in the garage where she had been sitting for a long while.  Sat on her,  turned the petcock on, lifted the choke lever, made sure the lights were off, turn the ignition to On and hit the starter button.  Got a wheh wheh out of her, low battery.  Flipped out the kicker and tried to kick over with my socks on, one kick made my foot hurt - yea, wienie I know.  Turned the Ignition off, went inside and put my shoes on.  Came back out, sat on her and gave her four good kicks.  There she was, running.  Revved it few times and let her warm up a bit.  Rode her around the neighborhood a bit and pulled her back in the garage.  She ran well and that was fun.  Whoop, gotta go turn the petcock off!
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Thanks Bob!!  It was the buy of a lifetime.  I knew if I didn't put in a bid I would kick myself for the rest of my life, so I threw in a lowball bid and somehow won!  Blue71Turbo suggested I source a Mikuni carb and swap out the Dellorto.  What do you have on yours, and what is your turbo? Rajay?  What model?  I don't know what's on this one yet.  I just can't wait to get it!!

Greggo: Yes, my turbo is a Rajay model 377 B 25. The carburetor is a Bendix/Zenith used on Harleys in the early seventies. Please post some pictures when you get that bad boy.

Finished assembling the XL250s and fired it up.
The carburetor, which I rebuilt at no small expense, leaks from several places.
I should have just bought a new one. Probably will now.

Then I went and rode the K5 to get some Com Ga Nuong.
That made me feel better. :)

Drove the Jeep out to Kalamazoo to pick up my stock exhaust for the '72 500.  Nice pipes Sean.  Also picked up a front disk and caliper for the '73 500.  I'll actually pull the disk on the '73 and send it and this new one off to El Cheapo to get them drilled then put the drilled ones on the '72 and sent the pair from the '72 off to get drilled.  The end result will be both bikes with dual disk conversion and drilled disks, and me with as little down time as possible.

Lost my licence plate on the way there.  Of course a Kazoo cop has to pull me over.  Only got a verbal warning tho.

Yup, mothers a couple times a year will be good.  You do not have to dismantle it all again, just rub around.  That is what I do.

The surface is so smooth, the clear coat may not stick well or end up peeling later.
