Is 38 miles per gallon a good gas milage for these bikes?

Depending on how you ride, and which bike you're riding, that's pretty solid.

Unpacked my oil pump (750K1) last night after its rebuild by Hondaman.  Looks like new and turns over real smooth.  Another small step completed.

Now that the 350f is running pretty well, I had to dig into the Banshee quad.
Elizabeth helped me flush and bleed the brakes... since I test rode it, it had none, until today.
Trying to get the jetting right, PO had the airbox all out and it was barely running when I bought it.  Had to rig it all together with gorilla tape and zip ties, works like new!
Its really running a lot better but still needs adjustment.

Its a 2 stroke BEAST, I originally bought it for her, but she may get the 250r for a while.   ;D

Test Ride @ 31 degrees.  Just got back.

In January, I started changing the stock bars to euro bars.  Had to take the airbox off to get the throttle cables back on.  While it was off, found I had no accelerator pump function.  Ended up cleaning the carbs, spending quite a lot of time waiting on the ups man to bring me tiny o-rings.

Tonight, I finally got it back together and took it for a spin.  Fun.

Just got done putting a new 18T front sprocket on the K3. Man, the sprocket was not a bad job at all. Now on the other hand, cleaning all the old grease off the case...quite another story. One roll of papertowels, a half bottle of Simple Green, and two pairs of rubber gloves to make it look all pretty where not a soul will see. Huh, HondaFever comes in many degree's of insanity! LOL

It's not bad, I get 40-45 around town, 50ish on the road with my 72 750. Do you have points or electronics?

I ride a 75 550, It is in good tune and runs very well, if you go off the odometer it get close to 50 but in reality the actual mileage is closer to 35-40 mph using a GPS for speed and mileage.

Well, not just today, but in the last week I've been getting ready for the Relay:
Adjusted steering stem bearings.
Changed out fork oil for ATF.
Drained out the gas that has been in the tank since October.
Mounted 17 tooth sprocket in place of the 16 tooth, lubed and adjusted the chain.
Adjusted valves and cam chain.
Re-gapped spark-plugs to .058". (Newly found Gerex ignition instructions actually called for .063- .065"  :o)
Mounted the fairing I got from mrbreeze, after enduring the winds on the Relay last year. (Thanks Fred!)
This year, I'm going to be ready!!!!
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Replaced the oil pan, replaced the tach seal gasket, and changed the oil and filter while I was at it. So far it seems like it's not leaking anymore :)

Wanted to test it out and burn all the oil off the headers, so I took it out. But it was pouring.

painted side covers..did not go well..got parts for front fork repair..nev sealings..and change fork oil...new tires must wait..the cbx eat all my money
Looks like your sidecovers got the classic syndrome call fisheyes or orange peel in the paint.Usually caused by silicone or some other contaminant on the base. If spraying from a spray gun there is an additive for that.If from a spray can sometimes building it up in lighter mist coats can help.Base has to be super clean though before painting.

Put the center stand back on, adjusted the clutch, started on the body work on the tank.

Dropped off the swingarm at the mailroom where I work.  Off to HM it goes!
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

put new seals in my forks, rebled my brakes because I put on the drilled disc, tightened lubed everything and went for a FAST ride to check out the difference since I also put on the steering damper.BIG improvement,I love my bike again.
its better to regret something you have done, than something you havent.Except playing with explosives.

swapped a brake line on the GL1000
also swapped a master cyl on the K3 750, then bled.
We also mounted those seat brackets (thanks a bunch Stev-o) and the freshly repaired starter solenoid.

Changed the mains and needle jets and synched the RS34's... ;D

AAAAAAAND??? I want updates on how they're running ASAP please.

Still waiting on the main jets I ordered for my 550, in the meantime I'm trying to get an 83 Yamaha XS650 road worthy again for a friend of mine. Typical kind of bike that's sat for the last 9 years. Thorough cleaning of the carbs got it running again then adjusted valve lash and cam chain and it actually doesn't sound too bad but now electrical gremlins are popping up. The headlight won't come on because the alternator isn't charging worth a squat and I'm finding out the alternator is one of Yamaha's weakest links at least on this bike it is. Just my luck.  >:(
