Killed my starter button somehow while trying to lube my cables :-/ I know what 754 would say..."we do need no starter button!"

And I replaced the gasket in my gas cap, and cleaned out the little vent. Easy job, even the first time.

Friday: New Spark plugs
Sunday: cleaned the air filters and had her running nice again.  There was a pause when I would really pull on the clutch but not now
Today:  All electrical power went out so I took her to the shop  :(

pulled off the old exhaust, dropped the oil pan and cleaned the pickup screen. gave the engine and bike a well deserved bath. will put the pan back on tomorrow and a new motad 4 into 1 exhaust. then go ride!
May I ask where you picked up the Motad?

Bought rearsets. Now I just have to play the waiting game. Hopefully it gets here by this weekend.

roughly 200 years of Japanese motorcycle history on this rendezvous.
Global Warming...fine with me. Rode all winter in Upstate NY. Finally sharing the road with some other ol' SOHCs.
75' outside Mid March! Rode everyday for the last 10 days and it isn't even "season"

I'm jealous of you guys :(

Good riding weather all year round, yet I've seen literally only one other SOHC.

finally got around to installing the new 20mm wheel beaarings into the KZ750 mags i bought to replace the comstars on my 76 750F.  flipped a couple spacers, new inner piece of pipe space, and rear is done.  just have to line up sprockets and make proper spacers now.  front slid right in no mods needed.

I drove mine to get a haircut. Reason for the haircut is that OLD ASS gas from a gas tank blows up in a fire pit... Dumped out the gas tank in there last Friday.  UHHHHH... Right arm is now hairless and I look like I am in basic training again.

Dropped my motor.  On my way to figuring out why it seized five miles after the rebuild.

At least you weren't leaning over when lighting and lost your eyebrows... makes for the Whoopie Goldberg look.

Wired the rear blinkers/winkers/turnsignals on the K8 750... put on the front wheel with it's shiny new tire... almost got the rear wheel with it's new tire on except  found-out the rear wheel bearings I was replacing are not 3 x 6303 type but 2 x 6303 and 1 x 6305 ( in the sprocket carrier )... grrrr, so close to being on-the-road :o... should be all done on Thurs. to meet-up with the local mc hooligan SOHC owners + others.

I hate to say it mate, but I think you already know why, what we all need to know now is the extent of the damage. Don't spare the gruesome pics, and if you need any parts, let me know. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Took my 400f out for the first ride of the season on the new set of IRC gs11 . So far they seem fine.
Discovered that my chain has uneven stretching.

Popped open my motor today and found an oil famine on the western shores of the head.  Drop by http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=79515.246] http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=79515.246 and provide guidance if you're so inclined.
