I walked by mine today and thought, it's time to fill the tanks, run some stabilizer through them all, drain the carbs and put in a bit of oil to lube the cylinders.

What did you do on yours today?

Did you do any of those things? LOL

I cleaned up the fenders I bobbed with a friends plasma cutter, using a very low tech angle grinder.

It worked. And I didn't f-up the chrome (but I'll  probably strip and paint em anyway, just because I like the look better)
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

Changed plugs to 8 and rode to work in thick fog.

Amazing how many cars drive without lights.  Seems like less visible color the car has more likely to drive without headlights. Morons!

Started the front end yesterday, finished today! Tapered bearings is the way to go. Ride is so much smoother. rebuilt the forks, new seals from alls balls. Polished the front forks, installed original chrome ears and replaced tappet gaskets, finally wired it properly where the front and rear blink at the same time and cut off the BMX hand grips and put nice ones on. Will post pics once the bike is cleaned.

GZ 2.0 on reigned over my 500 as Geminimotors (Mike) synced up my carbs yesterday.  Good thing one of us knew what we were doing (it wasn't me  ;) )

Today was pretty fun with the 750.  Started right up with the carbs I rebuilt, with gas coming from the petcock I rebuilt, connected to the tank I cleaned up...I've had to rebuild/clean/replace almost every part on that bike, and I've smashed the crap out of my fingers along the way, so it feels pretty good to almost get her out the door.

Popped open my motor today and found an oil famine on the western shores of the head.  Drop by http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=79515.246]http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=79515.246] http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=79515.246 and provide guidance if you're so inclined.

Here's what a parched cam looks like:

I couldn't open the link mate, I'll go see if I can find it elsewhere. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Well, I replaced the head gasket put the cam back in and put the head back together.  With fingers crossed, I put gas in the tank and made a valiant effort to get the engine started.  After a few pops and groans the baby beast fired up and ran like a champ.  I feel like a Honda mechanic king.

Finally found the collar for the rear wheel.......whew!!!

Reinstalled the wheel on the bike..........awwwwwww....much better ride.

Thanks to forum member Tugboat for asking the ? 'bout rear wheel issues, and madmtnmotors for showing the in-dept pics.

I learned I have been riding my bike w/o the collar.

Now onto the next problem of gittin this darn thing to idle correctly.

Thanks guys.

are those gauges going to be accurate? they look good on there but they seem like they would be off.
