Rebuilt the master cylinder and painted the front caliper. It won't be long before it's back on the road.

Rebuilt the starter clutch assembly and torqued it down on the crank. Got my clutch parts sorted out and ready to install. Upgraded to a later style clutch on my 75 CB750F to hopefully eliminate the chatter.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Did some wiring and sorted my fuel hoses.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

maduncle, thanks for the offer, but I guess the bike comes with tools too! Terry, you're my best friend here, and I still haven't met you. ;D I saw an awesome cb400f go by my house the other day. It was blue and looked great. My wife got mad because she was trying to show me something and I totally stopped paying attention to her when I saw those sexy headers. Anyone know a bike like that in the area? Once I get the bike together we all need to go for a ride. I still haven't left the city.

Rode the new-on-the-road K8 sevenfifty.... did a 2 mile 1/3 throttle ( steady ) plugchop = LEAN.
Double checked lean stuff, like carb rubbers, all good. Opened #4 to check the mains =110 stock. Bike has stock airbox but unknown 4-into-1 ( think it's a Mac  :( , nothing exotic )....
The bottom line is ; petcock leaks, carb 2 and 4 leak intermittently too soooo, not upping the mains until petcock repaired and carb overflow fixed, why ?...... carb leak will straightaway cause low fuel levels in all 4 carbs= lean and crappy running  :) Did open the idle/low pilot screws from 11/2 to 2 turns . Will try that for more low speed fuel tomorrow... :)

Ha! There are so many cool bikes getting around Melbourne it is pretty hard to keep up with. A group ride sounds great, you should get onto the Netrider forum too, for local bike news, contacts and events.

Agreed Cliff, I was at Red Rooster around the corner from Adam's new place on Sunday and a nice 550 Cafe bike went past, I don't see too many cafe bikes out my way, but the cafe look seems to be big with the inner city folk.

Hey Adam, have you seen the guy living in the tent in the park (near the big stormwater drain) behind your place? I've been driving home from work each day via Citylink, and I've seen him every day. I wonder if the local council know he's there? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

installing new stripes on my K2 750 tank.  sanded out the orange peel, now ready to buff it out, apply the stripes and re-clear.  All left to do is attach the 4-4 ends and im back on the road. im a novice painter and body guy at best.

finally organized the garage a little. ahhh, room to work again.

pull the baffle back out and the noises will go away! i know how you feel put a new exhaust on mine (alot quieter) and now i hear eerie noises.
rode mine around to do errands and parked it in the shed for a carb sync in the am. with the new exhaust should have done it sooner.

Exactly.................heard it sputter alittle at a light and thought, heck should be able to make it to the next station a few miles away.

Was right there at a station, next one 4 or 5 miles down the road. Made it 2, 2-12 miles, kaput.

Left to push it, (too old and in too much pain from shoulder), called the wife.
