Wondering if you are gonna have enough room to get to the key if you have Gumby fingers.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Sweet battery box project! Is there room in there to use either an 750Auto battery box for the bigger battery or do you think you could start making boxes for the A battery??!!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Drained the carbs on my 650, I'm leaving for three weeks.  I also got my 12mm compression tester adapter.  Super stoked about that.   I kept forgetting that I didn't have one, trying to test compression on a bike that uses 12mm plugs and going oh yeah gotta get one of those.

last night i sanded down my hopelessly rusted started cover plate - today after work i painted it duplicolor sparkly honda black (honda Fit color, i think) because i had some laying around and also sanded down the rusty bolt heads and painted them the same black.

also sprayed the underside of my rear fender (which was also hopelessly rusty)  with that rubberized underbody spraypaint to see how it'll do.  i sandblasted the udnerside clean over the winter -- i figure it's better than raw steel and if i used regular pain it'd just get all chipped up and rust again.

Ooooh, Greggo, those look nice!

Thanks!  I actually may have trouble paying my rent this month because of it :'( but I couldn't help myself!!  I found them listed on ebay last night, and I didn't want anyone else to get them first.  Then, from one of the pics in the listing, and the name of the seller I realized it was FunJimmy!  I'm really happy to be getting them, they are beautiful.  I have a 550 cylinder I'll use to save some money on boring...if I can get by with just a .50 on it.  If they're appropriate, I'll use these on the turbo motor I'm building in my mind ;)

Nice bike Pete, what else have you got lined up behind it in that pic? Cheers,

Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

My brother needed my old handlebars so I took them apart before I was ready. just jerked all the wires out and same in the headlight bucket. Well, heck they have a nasty twist in them, the center hole looks like an 8 almost. Now I can enjoy a few nights re- tracing all the connections. Good time to clean them anyway. Maybe I'll buy that aftermarket harness too.

Did you need an offset sprocket for the rear?  Is it a CB500/550 rear?

No its a cb750 rear lester #20200 But its a 1977 motor so I needed a offset sprocket for the rear to align the chain. I used a 10mm offset sprocket from CycleX $59 on sale!!!

Yeah, next one is a 1974 CB750 all stock. I should be starting it in a couple of weeks. Then I get to work on the K0!!

Filled it up and rode to reserve and then some. About 110 miles.  (Only got ~33mpg, could have been because most of the trip was at 70+mph.) ;)
Today was about the most beautiful day ever! The wildflowers are absolutely freakin' amazing! :o :o
Made the loop out Hamilton Pool road to Johnson City then back around by Pedernales Falls state park.
Tried to take a shot with the flowers but pictures just can't do them justice.
It was Old Settlers Day in Dripping Springs and the whole town smelled of glorious barbeque.
If tomorrow is this nice I might just do go around again! ;D

Swapped out stock fork springs for Hagon's, went for a test ride and met a new friend here in town.

He also has a cafe bike and an FJR 1300, lives across town from me.  He pulled up behind me at my friend's house and wanted to see my bike and hear it run--pretty cool way to meet someone.

Then, filled the afternoon with wet-sanding and polishing that darn tank.  the end is now officially in sight!
