Went into the carbs again. Did a mini-clean. Found that one of the gaskets was pinched. Gonna try a different jet combination for stacks again.

I had to deal with the front brake before riding to work. It was locked, got it going but it will need more attention tonight.

Got the bushings out of my swing arm...........and man, looking at some of the ones that have been removed on this forum, mine look like I probably didn't need to change them. The collar looks more beat up than the bushings.

Used the long punch and bfh, got both out with minimal effort.

Guess I should have ordered new bushings................wheres a good place to buy them????????????

Swapped out my springs last night on the 750, refilled fluid, took her for a ride last night to determine if she is ready for the highway. EXTREME wobble when I let go of the handle bars. Not sure why? It wobbled prior to swapping out the springs too. Then notice this am the left fork was leaking from the 10mm bolt this morning. Tightened it and it snapped. Glad I ordered new fork seals. Will have to rebuild another set and swap out. I do have another pair of k1 forks to do this. One thing I did notice was when I removed the right spring, it was barely covered in oil yet the left side was soaked.

Put her pipes back on, polished her up, and went for a ride on this lovely day.   Life is good.

rode mine to work yesterday, then bombed around town for a while after work.   pulled into my drive and lost all pressure on the front brake -- looked down and i was squirting brake fluid from the bleeder like a gushing neckwound.   quick ran into the garage and tightened her down, refilled my brake fluid, and then washed my front wheel off really well.  so glad this didn't happen at speed, cause i would have had brake fluid sprayed all over the bike!   :o   but no harm no foul!

Well it wasn't today, but last night I cleaned all the crap off the fenders with never dull, used cleaner wax on the master cyl and idiot light pod (both came back to black), and cleaned the pipes. Just this stuff made about a 75% looks improvement in the appearance of the Little Jewell (CB350F). AND I rode the R80RT (BMW) down to the car wash and cleaned off about five years of previous owner neglect in washing the bike. He is a great rider and maintained it in an excellent manner mechanically but neglected the looks and such. I also used plastic polish on the windscreen and my polisher and it is now so clear I can use it to look thru instead of having to look over it.

I had bad wobble before too until I replaced my fork seals and got new tires and had them balanced and rotated. I do think however, that the tires made the most difference. Mine is super smooth now. I can go 80mph and deaccelerate with no hands and its SOLID.

Since one of them was leaking on the concrete I drained the ATF (Albacore Tuna Fish) oil out of the forks from the CJ360T...

I am pretty sure I found the problem. The but under the unicorn triple wasn't tight. I will give update once I swap out the fork

On the afternoon shift for the summer.
3am. Ride home on the 750. The longer twisty way.  In almost 40 miles I only saw a few cars the whole way! Perfect!
3pm. Took the cover off of the 550 and put it on the 750. Rode the 550 to work. Looking forward to the ride home! :)

I got a phone call from Spring Works in Woods Cross, Utah.  They are done making my custom springs for my 550-four.  I went with something a bit stiffer that also bottoms out a bit later than stock.  I'm stoked!  Picking them up in the morning.  The front end of my 550-four is from a 1967 cb450 for a very classic look.

Pictures please - I am keen to see how the classic CB450 front forks look.

Are they external spring forks?

Meanwhile - what did I do on my bid today?

The clutch.

As in - I got on my VFR750 to go out tonight and found I have no clutch.

I think the shouldered bushings are for the later (77/78) models, unless that's just a generic photo.
