Pulled appart the kz1000 carbs and started cleaning them, boiled them for an hour in simple green on the bbq.

Not the kind of BBQ I enjoyed on the Fourth!
Haha, I bet. Carbs went on the side burner after the burgers came off, meat first around here!

Got the bike running like it did a loooong time ago before I started messing with my carbs and exhaust. Figured out my problem was the muffler I had on it. I had it going from 2-1/4" to 2", then to a free flowing can. I decided to try the MAC 4-1 exhaust I put on the side, which has a chopped up baffle. Put that on, and it works damn near perfect with my open stacks.

finished cleaning and rebuilding a set of kz1000 carbs, bench sync'd and put them back on the bike. Gave my cb750 a quick wash to remove the road grime from the rain last week, then took it for a ride in the evening for an hour or so.

Got the sprockets, yesterday actually..............

Doesn't look like they really needed to be changed............

But, the chain was toast, so as has been stated here on this forum and other places, its better to chance as a set.

So, now waiting on swing arm bushings (hopefully 2day or 2morrow).

Tried a little more polishing........not the greatest, but, didn't really want to bling it out, want it to be more of a rat bike.

Also had my security force standing by. (laying)

Spent some time last night and this morning trying to get white dots out of the seat. it is taking some scrubbing.  Watch out for that wiper fluid from cars that think everyone else should take a shower while they clean their windows!  That stuff gets right into the fabric and is taking me some time trying to lift them out.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Hey nice looking pooch and even nicer looking Harley mate, sweet. The rear brake stay arm is usually zinc plated to stop it from rusting, has yours been chromed, or did you polish thru the zinc plating? If you have you'd better clearcoat it, or it'll rust like crazy. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Installed Time Serts in both sides of a CB160 head. I put this in the tips & tricks forum, but it's still waiting for "moderator approval"? Anyhow, click on http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2993073430061780441dJYGUF to see the full blog w/pics I made.

Took the 500 for a ride, and almost crashed when a wasp hit my neck, then crawled up inside my full face helmet.  Luckily no one was behind me, and I was able to pull to the side and scramble quick enough to avoid being bit.  It hit that two inch open space between jacket and helmet and climbed right up...makes me want to get one of those neck scarf dealies to close that area off.  I'd even wear it on hot days to avoid that again.  >:(

The ones on top without the flange are correct for a '75. The bronze ones with the flange are for a '76.

I "think" if you leave out the felts and the little flanged spacers at the outer part of the swingarm you should be okay.

Thanks guys........putting it back together tonite, will be riding in the morning.

Next, is to paint the 350f and have it on the road by next weekend. New tires should be on the way by Monday. Will have to run it with wide open pipes for now.

Looking for an exhaust that won't break my bank account.

Worked on the yard today. And after 2.5 hours of "toil" got it done. Told the wife I was going on a cool down run on the 750. Nothing like 100mph to dry out the sweat and blow off the dust! ???

I had a wasp bounce off of my shoulder and get stuck in m collar once. Got stung pretty good before I could get stopped. Almost 20 years ago and I still get goose bumps thinking about it.

I put those in my 750K2 and left out the plastic flanges. Still replaced the felt washers though.

I was riding with my wife about 15 years ago and a wasp got into the rear of my helmet. At first I thought it was my wifes finger nails, until that sucker started stinging!

Took a ride in the canyon to cool off.Its much cooler at 9800 feet. ON the way back down I got up to 88 miles per hour and ended up in a strange place whith a white haired scientist who likes to fluk capacitors. When I asked him what kind of oil would be the best he got mad and sent me back.
