...took the blue K2 gas tank, put it on the AME-K0 and drove it to the garage to take out the engine.

Ordered new spokes for the build. I found them on ebay for $110 shipped to Oz. Front and rear. I don't know if that's a good deal or not, but I think it's worth it rather than me cleaning and painting them.

Freaking pissed. Brand new tires on the K1, drove to work this AM, got off at 4 and tried to move it. Difficult, looked down to a flat rear.

Oliver, the '73, started brake squealing last night on the way home from my sons birthday party.   >:(

Pulled the caliper arm off, cleaned and greased the pin.  Adjusted the brakes and now no squeal. ;D

That is superb mate, looks great, and yep, don't trust those tires any further than you can kick 'em! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Grabbed plates and insurance tags for the Kz and rode the Cb to work and back.

Thanks Terry, it's been a joy to work on. For once everything a PO told me has been true, and honestly for the price I paid for it with a clean title I made out like a bandit. Looking forward to working through any bugs and getting it up to daily rider status.

You have the worst luck with tires. Is that the one the "new" shop put on?

Technically yes. This was the rear new one. I got this last week installed. I'm bad luck in regard to tires. Hey you have avon riders right? I was thinking of picking those up for my other k1

No, but have heard they are great tires. A little higher priced than the BT45's I put on the K4.

Good Job Georg, you've got a lot more patience than me! I like that AME K0 period Chopper mate, are you going to keep it like that? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

You'll do a lot worse than BT45's mate, I've been running them for around 20 years now, and I've never had a flat................. ;D

Hi Terry,

...the polished K0 fork is standing right here next to me but the lamp holders/ears, side covers, air box and gas tank need a paint job, would be looking like a Harlequin right now ;)   may be this or next year an it is back to original.

Have a good one mate...Georg

Ouch, lester. Good thing you caught it and knew to drop the emulsion tubes. Those things are nasty. Is that from ONLY running a tank of contaminated fuel, or were they never cleaned beforE?

There should be a "What did you not do to your Bike" thread, due to forum members not sending the parts they were selling.

I know it's all my fault........"I should not have yanked all the parts off, not knowing if the all balls head bearings I honestly thought that I was buying, were not in my hand."

However, I guess I'll have to chalk it up as a bad experience.

Guess, I'll have to contact paypal, and find some other place to order them.............

Sheeeeeat!!!!!
If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.
