Got to turn wrench on the latest interim project (that was only supposed to take a couple weeks). Put the valve train back together after replacing the leaking "coin" seals beneath the cam towers. The P.O. had seen fit to reuse the old, warped, cracking, dry rotted, coin seals (I know they were re-used because they had gasket sealer on them).
DAMN!
Tomorrow I'll adjust the valve lash, reinstall the valve cover, and put the engine back in.
For all the future P.O.'s out there, for crying out loud BUY A DAMN INCH-POUND TORQUE WRENCH!
