LOVE the W650!   They did a better retro Bonnie than Triumph did.     I missed out on one of these for $2,000 a couple months back.  Still bummed about that.

Thanks, me too. I actually picked it out for my friend. But it cost about $7k at the dealer (last year) because they're rare as all hell here, and it was from the showroom upstairs and only had about 1200 miles on it.

I'm actually going to be taking it out again tonight for a vintage bike meet.

Pulled out the 120 mains and installed new 115's in my K5.  Took it for a spin and the results were positive.  :)

Hope it's not faster than my K4 now!

I put new o-rings in my K1 rocker shaft covers since one was puking all over my left leg.  I went ahead and installed the o-rings in front of the bosses on the covers.......which I hope is supposed to prevent the worn rocker shaft cover bores on the 550.

It's freakin Dec 1 and a sunny 60 deg day so I pulled the 550 out yet AGAIN from what I thought was it's winter hibernation so my wife took it for another cruise.

I like curves of all variety's especially the asphalt kind and the au naturel. :)

Installed very nice fork tubes, the chrome is almost flawless.  Also some goodies from Dime City Cycles and took the beautified old lady for a spin - about 60 miles.  She is in good shape now.

It rained half of the trip and now I am home preventing cold with bottle of Zinfandel.

Took off the head of my Goldwing, the one with the blown gasket.  Yea, that coolant isn't 'zposed to be there.

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Finally removed the rest of the stuff from my frame: front end and bearings, and center stand. Now I need to send me swingarm out to HondaMan for a rebuild, then I can get everything powdercoated. Still debating on whether I want to get the cases and top end powdercoated as well.

Fabbed up a couple spacers to get my new rear wheel and brakes installed, wired up the headlight.
So much to do, so little time.

What model 'Wing have you got mate? My 1200 Interstate's new engine's on the slow boat from Michigan, it should be here on the 23rd, which will be a nice Christmas present! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Terry,

It's an '82 GL1100 Interstate.

I saw you got a line on a wrecker here in my back yard. Are they in Mount Pleasant by chance?  Maybe Big Rapids or Mason? I'm not in need of parts at the moment, but that can change in a hurry with my wrenching skills!!

I bought one a few weeks ago. Seems a shame to sand blast that pretty Ruby Red off of it, but I'm going for another color...

Changed swingarm bushings. Wow...what a difference. It was really greasy feeling when changing gears/letting out the clutch. Feels much better now!
