Purchased a NOS candy ruby red battery side cover for my 750K1 from DSS tonight.
So far I have been able to purchase the following NOS parts: right fork cover, headlight bucket, battery side cover and oil tank side cover. Now all I am missing is the elusive left fork cover which I missed because I took a day off.
Thanks Mike for the link.

Harry is it in poor taste to ask how much DSS is charging for those elusive hard to find NOS sidecovers ? They sure fetch good money on E-bay when they pop up. Eric
Eric,
The oil tank cover was about $95.00 twelve months ago and the battery side cover was $150.00 this week. They are gradually (maybe more than gradual) going up in price. DSS must have opened a new box of parts because they had a tank, left fork cover, and headlight bucket on Monday morning, and the battery side cover on Tuesday morning. These were all on the UK site. I have put several parts I want on their e-mail notification list. I was a little late Monday replying to their e-mail to get the left fork cover.
The worst thing now with DSS is you have to check both the US and UK sites.
They do not carry all of the same parts ... at least now.
I do have a set of Frankie's covers ... but I would have to get paint shipped to the border (they won't ship dangerous goods across the border by mail or courier), pick the paint up at my US mailbox, and then get them painted. The NOS covers still feel pliable so I will give them a try first. For now they appear to be the least expensive option.
Hmmm .... I seem to have become a parts collector (hoarder) ... I have a basement full of stuff now
