Met my friend at my shop this morning and he picked up a CB350 we made an agreement on. So whats a Guy to do,heck might as well buy another right. Actually bought this one on the ride over to meet him on the phone and went to pick it up in the early afternoon. It was a good running K6 750 that a kid got from a family member and was going to cut up and make into a bobber.Tore it down but now I will save it.All there but the best part is it also has a fresh title and a set of really good stock exhaust pipes.Woo Hoo. Didn't even have to break out the truck and trailer for this one, slight assembly required  :D . Good deal on everything for 150 bucks.

Received my swingarm from HondaMan. Rebuilt and detabbed. This has his SAE 660 bronze bushings, they're harder than the normal oil impregnated ones he uses, to handle the extra power I'll be putting down. Since this one isn't oil impregnated, I'll have to religiously lube it every 3000 miles.

Also received HondaMan's transistorized ignition system.

For now I am going to put it back together and make sure "it ran before parked".Pipes will get stashed away for something better. If I had to name the project it it would be called "Tub 'O' Fun".

Yes, we need the details. I have a title less K1 I want to get on the road this year.

Steve-o and MoMo

Yeah very straightforward- I sent them an application, a bill of sale, and a VIN inspection, oh and a check for 6% sales tax +44.00. mine came to 101 bucks.  Nothing needs to be notarized.

The only gotcha I see is that you must pay at least Vermont's minimum book value worth of sales tax, so I called them beforehand and got their value. I think they valued my 76 at right around $980. So I did the math and sent the check...in a week, my plate showed up. Serendipity.

Within 30 days I'm going to do the next step, which is to present Idaho with the Vermont registration and get them to issue a title. Havent tried that yet, but I presume they will. They might grumble about it, I live in a small town and they know me, I have been trying other ways to get a title on this thing so they might not like it hahah.

Anyway here are links to the threads I read up on:

Envin - good stuff, but one question: what did you do for the VIN inspection?   Thanks

The VIN inspection is really easy here, I just went down to the county assessor's office (DMV basically here) and had them inspect the vin and fill out an official sheet for it. Took about 5 minutes. Im sure that other places are different, you may have to go to the Sheriff for it, I would start with whoever does the inspection when you first title a bike from another state.  All the Vermont requires is an official document signed by somebody important.

IDK if it still counts bc it was two days ago, but I treated my bike and thigh to a tank slapper at 65 mph.

Managed to hold it down and regain control before I hit the concrete divider on the 2 lane road. Got to school and really couldn't exactly get my head in to class lol

Today, rebuilt a rear wheel off of an 80 DOHC (17") with new bearings, and, after spending an hour with SOS pads cleaning it up, transplanted it onto my 76. I wasn't going to bother doing the swap but that wheel I had was in better shape than my 76 18 incher and had a good tire on it. I thought I might as well since 17 inch tires are more or less the standard now.

Also adjusted the valves, lubed the throttle cable and got the last of the play out of the carb linkage, then went for a 35 mile shakedown voyage. OMG I love this bike - Ive never actually ridden it more than just around the block until today - these old girls really get it don't they? I kept fogging up my visor whooping for joy :)

Cruising along paying too much attention to the van near me that can't manage to stay in their lane at all and can't separate himself from his cellphone. I eyeballed him too much and got caught and almost paid big time

Better believe my eyes are peeled now. Funny story tho last night I relived it in a dream and practically thru my gf across the bed

Blah Blah Blah. Still fine tuning getting ready for rego after two year rebuild. I'm renovating at home too so only today got to follow advice found here after me posting a few days ago.
After riding around the block and parking she'd refused to start. Sounded exactly like the kill switch was off. Thanks to member advice I took the headlight off today and found that the connector for the kill switch had come apart. New connector and she fired right up.
Took it around the block again as, after running perfect when I collected the motor from the shop after rebuild, it misses when i accelerate on the road - usually in second gear at about 3000RPM. Tonight I have drained all the fuel from the tank and taken all the float bowls off to check them in case there was crap after sitting so long. I had flushed the lines and fuel tank before putting it back together. I'm going to try 91 octane fuel tomorrow instead of the 98 I've had in the tank.
Checked all plugs - one was a bit oily looking, two were perfect and the other one had some brown sediment build up. It's got new points, new plugs and the shop did the carbies.
What I don't get is how it revs cleanly sitting still, but misses on a ride. Will try the fuel tomorrow and see what happens. Also replacing fuel lines as they are different diameters on the outside but lokked the same on the inside when i put them on - trying to use what I had in the shed.
After that I am thinking coils because apart from the fuel system, the coils are the only thing different to from how it ran on his test bench in the shop. Slug
