Didn't stay the heck off craigslist and got this one to park next to my 750 in an already tight single car garage

My modified fuel injection throttle body set up arrived in the mail today for my 1000cc engine and they are absolutely beautiful. Pics to follow.... 8)

GSXR throttle bodies Jon, re racked, new fuel rail and central throttle linkages....Electronic  ;)

Who knows how long the bike has been out of the system, but i got paperwork for the bike started last week at AAA.  This morning, took the bike out for VIN inspection at local CHP. pass with the flying colors. 





Going back to AAA later today to get my new plate and registration sticker :)

Installed braided steel brake lines on my 350/4





I bought them from http://www.wemoto.com/.  £56.70.  After VAT was taken off & postage added it cost £65.17.  I then heard from Pavel who said HEL did not make a kit for the 350/4, however, if I sent details of the hose lengths & connections required they would make up a kit.  After a few e-mails the kit arrived & it is perfect!  I asked for a male-to-male caliper connector after searching the posts here.  I took the bike for a test ride & locked up the front wheel at 20kmh - good enough for me!

Cleaned all the connections since reinstalling the harness. Reconnected them but got stumped on the running lights... set 'em up as only blinkers now. Buttened that up with the headlight... Put the carbs all back together and installed 'em, the airbox, the pipes, rear pegs, the tank...
Checked over things... put some oil in the engine.. some fuel in the tank. ...

Fired right up! :) Ahhh it's been a while since I  heard the ol' 750 growl :)

Did a victory lap in the parking lot. :)

Now to give it a final full re-inspection...
and find the damn tab for the plate... where'd I put that thing?

Sandblasted and painted the header and cleaned one carb (I forgot how much time goes into disassembling and cleaning the carbs).

They look good Trevor, well done. I wouldn't recommend riding around on those tyres though mate, they look pretty old, and the rubber would be pretty hard by now, so as much as they're "correct" for the period, they aren't very safe. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Hi Terry,

They're actually "reproduction" Dunlop TT100's (the old style tread pattern with modern rubber).  Probably around four years old.  The rubber is very soft.  The discoloration is due to the brand of degreaser I use.  A few people have commented on me using "old" rubber.  A guy up the Dandenong ranges pointed out that the sides are way more worn than the top, said I obviously like to go around corners.

Stayed up till 3am and did tons!

Cleaned piston ring slots with a piece of old ring.  Cleaned all the head bolt holes and will be chasing them when I get a set of chasers.
Installed new rings onto pistons, cleaned the head and head cover.  The valve seals have already been replaced and valves lapped.

Then removed, disassembled and cleaned the rear fender and light tree.  Had to straighten out the fender a little so it's nice and straight now.  :).

Then of course pulled the motor out of this frame to put it the titled and registered frame next chance I get.

Oh, and oiled up the choke and clutch cable and hung them for the night so the oil might work its way all throughout the cable.

It's nice having a parts bike that is nearly complete.  Might get it up and running some day, but want to finish the one up for the summer.

This is the first time I have ever touched the pistons on an engine that I am expecting to have running.  I'm still pretty nervous that I'm going to mess it all up.  :)
