Front suspension
My goal is to smooth out the small ups and downs i experience on my commute.
I've been on (what I assume are) stock springs and fresh 15w belray fork oil. The ride has been pretty firm. Harsh at times over small/med bumps.
So firm that the OIS on my bar-mount HD video recorder cant process fast enough and the video looks like im on a bad trip
Rinsed my forks with mineral spirits and went with 130cc 10w Belray. Too soft and crazy diver under breaking, but i did not bottom out. Total dive travel was 104cm
Rinsed that out and went 60:40 10w/15w at 150cc. Rode in this morning and it felt pretty good. I have zip ties on the other fork and will see how these compress as i'm pulling in to my drive.
Being the 4th owner of this bike, i really have no idea the age of these springs. When i take my fork caps off, the springs want to shoot out.
Ive been reading threads and watching vids on suspension setups and getting them dialed in. A new set of Progressive springs are certainly a possibility. Emulators, meh..for the riding i do, i think its kinda overkill. I thought i'd change up oil weight and level and see what happens.
