Picked up a little 1975 Suzuki GT185 today to add to my 1970's Suzuki two stroke road bike collection. Been in the family since new. Now if I can find a descent T350 I will have at least one model example of all they made in the 70's.
Also been busting my arse doing a major remodel , purging, painting, reorganization etc of my shop this late fall. Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and starting to put the front end of it finally together and working my way to the back shop area. Here is a little line of CB750's etc starting to form. Getting tired of just pushing bikes around. More pushin' tomorrow and hopefully done soon.

Thanks for the pity Guys  ;D  My fall cleaning project got out of control and you know how much fun painting etc. is, moving all the crap around. Just something I guess you have to do once every 25 years or so.  ::) Found some cool crap though like a NOS Jardine crossover pipe etc. I have not seen in a long time and some animal bones.
One nice thing that has appeared and worth making room for is the HUGE green 75th anniversary Snap-On tool box loaded to the gills seen in the background. Part of my Buddies lifetime tool collection,Thanks Art  ;)

Put in new airfilter, took plugs out to clean but they were perfect! Have noticed there is some pitting on the points so have ordered genuine Honda points and a points cover gasket which I notice is missing..otherwise it runs like a nut apart from some small cold start problem but hope this will be sorted with new points etc

i went and fired up the bike and it is back to running on all 4 cyclinders. I didnt do anything just left it to sit. when I ride the bike really hard (as in twist till throttle can't twist any more and hold for 10 to 15 min let off little and repeat) it was fine one day the next day about 15 mins into a easy normal ride it drops out to 2 cyclinders. I don't know what the #$%* is up. :o >:( :( :-[ :-[ :'( :-\

Took the battery to autozone to get it charged and to start chasing electrical gremlins and figure out why it got flat. I need to get a tender already.

I picked up one of those $10 tenders from HF.  Its still going strong.

Weekend work:

Bunch of parts in the mail, including a brand spanking new Cone Engineering 18" Quiet Core reverse cone. Me and flybox1 are muffler buddies now.

Also in the mail: electronic flasher unit from CustomLED (popped in no problemo), and an Emgo Lucas-style tail light. Tail light will be going on later.

Then I was all set and ready to install Euro bars from vintagecb750.com... AAAAAAAAAAAND they don't fit. The centre on these bars is only 4.5". Fired them an email today, they refunded my money AND I get to keep the bars because of their mistake in saying they would fit my bike. Now I need another bike with a 4.5" clamp width... hmmm...

For future reference, CB750s have a clamp width of 120mm or 4.75". I ordered the Emgo Superbike bars instead.

Also since I had it off the bars, I took apart the master cylinder, boiled it, and put a new rebuild kit in there. Nice and tight now, just need to reinstall on the bike.

Want to see what has been done and needs doing? Check out my Trello board! https://trello.com/b/EUFhf24r

Dang, I should start a progress thread.

I really need to pick one of those up, today when i get to the bank. Somebody on the twins boards modified one so it would plug in to his battery so he just pulled in to his garage, plugged his battery in, and was good to go.

The 'Battery Tender' comes with two ends that plug into a 6ft+ wire on the unit.  One has clips on about 3ft of wire, the other has rings that can be permenantly attached to the battery posts, and a short wire.  The short one is easy to hide under the side panel, or seat.  I have the one that can charge two batteries.  One to the bike, and one to the sidecar. :) 8)

This trashed 77 cb550 to cb600 cafe project is taking way too long in short increments.  Pulled an all-nighter.  Got the wheels built and the front end on and the rear end done.  Next gonna finish the electrical system. Fuel system last.
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

This past Sunday I took the K6 for one last ride before taking the battery out and draining the carbs for winter storage. Sadly, it was the first time I had ridden it since late august or early september. I think I only managed about 1800 miles this year but a buying a house (with associated projects) and a heavy work load will do that.

I'm looking forward to things slowing down this winter. Soon I will be bringing my S65 and my dad's 150 Benly in to my new basement workshop where we will begin work on those two bikes.

Coming soon eventually to a road near you!

I've been trying to get to John's for a little while now but we haven't quite been able to make it work yet. Maybe with the new addition I can talk him out of his other k0 ;D

Yeah Johnie is a really nice guy, (anybody that's a Marcia fan can't be all bad) but got my doubts he'll give up his other KO. Maybe you have a better chance with the K3 or 4 ;) He's got the setup for sure, brand new shop with plenty of room to work. That shop is so clean it looks almost like a operating room instead of a bike shop ::)

Just like you in the next few weeks more then likely I'll have another bike in my already full garage. 1970 Honda CD175. Got the title in hand just waiting on my son to bring me the bike.

I'll bet you will be really surprised when you clean that up and detail it a little. Looks to be a very nice and complete survivor. Be sure to post some pics after a good bath.

Looked longingly at her as i hopped on my push bike and headed off to work... Only 2 days until MOT, she is all ready to go... although pass or fail she wont be ridden until next year as I have loads I want to sort out that I am not happy with.

Cheers
