OK OT7  :),
I've been looking at this other brand Motobatt and they have a 2 year warranty but the price is $81 shipped and that's a few more tanks of gas for me. You're happy w/ that Scorpion ? When you say "third season", is that with this particular YB12A-A? What's the Scorpion model# for it ? I want to do some more research. That YB12A-A size is one of the most common size batteries for Vintage cycles for many years now.
                                                                                         Thanks, Bill
I just got this one for $66 total.  Came fully charged and ready to go.

...mounted the pipe, did some electric, put a ignition cover and rode it.

Looking good Georg, that tank is huge, I reckon you could fill it up and ride it to my place on one tank-full! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Picked up Blanchard Ground rotor, and oil pump body with the shaft seal removed, cleaned and derusted all pieces that attach to the frame. Now just waiting for spring weather to start painting.

I went out to the shed, gazed longingly at my bike, then wiped a tear off my cheek and came back inside.

Were you sad because it was too cold to ride ?   ???

If only.  It was because I haven't been able to ride in months and don't see it happening any time soon.  Wife and I commute most of the time to make dropping the kids off at daycare easier (3 1/2 boy, 19 mth twin girls).  That and any time I'm not working I am campaigning.  Showing up at an event disheveled doesn't work...

Lots accomplished today...

Painted the headers and extension... VHT Hi-Temp Header Paint, flat black.

my "paint booth"

Pre-paint

Primer

Final coat of black

In between coats I managed to get my Lucas tail light installed...

and also cut the flat spot into the upper clamp spacers. Measured, from the fork tube to the outer edge of the "doughnut hole", is 12/32" or 9.525mm. The washer I had sticks out a little bit, but no matter!

I also tidied up the front end wiring with some zip-ties, as I don't want to cut/recrimp a bunch of connections for shorter wires, especially where I already have a basket case and may get some model-correct switches at some point.
