Pulled the forks, replaced seals, cleaned, etc., got the headlamp (mostly) wired up - lots of additional cleaning on the frame and other places before I put things back together. Waiting on a caliper seal and rear brake drums and will finally be ready to put on the wheels!

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Replaced Fork Seals and tweaked the carbs a bit. She's riding real nice now! Next up...SS Brake Lines, a drilled rotor and new tires.

Modified the replacement wiring for the stator of the KZ. Should pass inspection now. I'll find out at lunchtime.

Where did you get the seat and are you looking to sell it?

If he does not, try here....

Don't think Tews paid that much for his whole bike!

LOL I paid a little more then the seat.... Just a little.

Here you go mate, you can buy a really close replica of the Guiliari seat from "Bob the Seat" in Jolly old England for only around 160 or so US dollars? And the good thing is, it'll have a plastic seat base, unlike the rusty genuine ones. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Plus $180 shipping?   Tews could nearly buy a lovely K7 for that!

Terry and Stev-o I contacted Bob last week after seeing his seat. Looks good. He even came down to 252 total shipped if I were to buy.

Picked up the frame and attached parts from the powder coaters, who managed to butcher the VIN plate and taped up rear shock mounts. Assembled the cheapo HF wheel balancing stand only to find out the axel is bowed  >:( you get what you pay I guess??

Tried to re-install the oil tank last night, seems I'm gonna need to remove the tool tray to git that little hose on in the back of the tank.

It's a bugger. Had the tank off to replace an oil line. Still need to stop by local Street and Trail to pick up crush washers.
If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.

Emptied the old gas out of the tank, pulled off the bumpers, filler door and hardware and put the gas tank in the bucket for it's turn with the electrolysis process. I did the door first before heading out for the afternoon, when I got back in went the tank and I wire wheeled the oil tank and gas filler door.

There are enough nooks and crannies on a few of these parts I think I'll still have to break out the aircraft remover to get the last of the paint, then a quick wash of OSPHO to keep the rust away until paint/PC prep.

Finished up yellow chromate conversion on relevant parts today, again, looks $hitty in pics, much better in natural light. Got the rear hub braking surface cut and trued.

Most people are happy with the stand. General consensus seems to be that the bearings are a little tight and cause it to resist just a little when trying to spin balance. Overall most are happy. Swap it out
