Well, not a SOHC4 but this is something all these bikes probably need.

I knew this round-tuit  was going to be a roadside jerry rig in the dark if I didn't do something, and these old Honda fuse holders are just not state of the art anyway.

Found this mini blade fuse  holder at Autozone. They had the larger one for the same price, but I decided red was better than yellow for some reason. It sort of fits in the old holder on the frame and a spare fuse tucks into the cap, too.

Crossed my path in an intersection, I was like 4 feet from her before she moved to hit me.

Cops at the scene called me "evil fnckin kneivel" bc I threw my left leg up and saved it from getting hit right before I took flight

Geez that's no good BJ, how's the bike? All the best mate. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

I'm pretty good, my big toe is smurf colored, gravel impressed and took some chunks on my lower leg and the back of my heel got skinned totally but I'll live to scare the girlfriend another day

Bike is alright, I'll post pics. #1 pipe is dented closed, looks crimped, mirrors shot, busted clutch lever but I think my front end is alright, hopefully

Still waiting for K2 parts to arrive from David Silver Spares. Its been 60 days, and the order is still in "backorder wait" state.
So...
I cut the back out of the expansion chamber of my '84 TS250X and hacked out the ring ding preventer stuffing. That should free up the breathing/HP.
I'm cam agnostic. I have a pair of DOHC, a pair of SOHC, and a couple of "No cams".

Freed up the motor in the El Cheapo FJ1100. Let it sit for a week with acetone/atf mix in the cylinders. I think that did the trick but I am also thinking it may have been a stuck valve after all. Anyway its unlocked, starter spins it over fine and it has spark. Just waiting on a clutch slave kit to arrive from US of A then I'll put the oil filter and all the covers back and fire it up. Dropped the oil out of it too - no swarf or debris to speak of, a good sign.

I was able to turn the crank but it would not go a full revolution in either direction. After gently rotating it back and forth for a minute or two it finally went a full revolution and continued to do so.

I pulled the rear MC out on my gl1100 the other day and it's piston inside was froze, not even hooking it up to a grease gun would budge it so I took it to work and had a maintenance guy look at it in his spare time. He couldn't get to budge with a grease gun either and had to resort to using a porta-power pump to get it out that's how froze it was. The bore cleaned up OK I guess and ordered a rebuild kit for it yesterday but won't know for sure till it's all back together and brakes bled. I sure hope it's alright because at the moment I can't find any rear MC's for a gl1100 on ebay at least not yet. I haven't messed with the calipers yet (83 gl has linked brakes) so I might be in for the same sort of drama when I check them out.

Hey Scott, is the '83 rear MC the same as on my '86? If so, I'll have a spare one shortly, I bought a complete rear brake system for mine because my rear caliper is stuffed. Because it was hidden behind the pannier it never got any love and the slide pins seized, so I did an ebay search and got the complete setup for 20 bucks. If you want the MC, you can have it for shipping. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Yeh, saw that, thanks. Nowadays I can't remember any of the model designations of the sets we used. I can still remember my Morse, drummed into us like our service numbers. My dad was a sig in WW2 and my son was in RASIGS as a tech. And, my grandfather was at Galipoli - 4 generations of service.

Very good mate, My Great Grandpop did the Boer War and WW1, his two sons did WW1 and WW2, my Dad was in the RAAF in WW2 and I served from 1977 to now. (last 13 years as a chocko though) My sons aren't really interested, but that's fair enough, they're probably sick of the military, ha ha! ;D

Made a start getting a head ready for one of my 750 Hondamatics. Got the head complete with cam, rocker holders and rockers for $50. Polished one combustion chamber and three to go. I will get the intake and exhaust ports looking the same but just takes a lot of work and time.

Went out and hit some garage sales Friday morning and found this 1980 Kawasaki 750. Runs with title, has 22,000 miles and bought it for a very very reasonable price. Owner said the back wheel locked up on him this summer when he would shut down the throttle and bought new wheel bearings to install because someone said so. Look at my close up picture and see if you can maybe figure out what the problem is  ;)   ::)
Worked on my V65 carbs  and are ready to install when I go pick up the new rubber manifolds. My local dealer beat Ebay's prices big time at $7.60 each with no shipping fees. Hoping to get my first ride on it soon.
