Looked at the rusty spokes on the CB500/4 I am reconditioning and decided that I needed to clean them up.

Spend an hour de-lacing the wheel so I could clean the spokes, only broke two!

Turns out half of them are just too rusty to use anyway.

So - anyone got any recommendations on where to go to buy a set of CB500/4 K2 spokes for the front and the rear?

CB750K2 (only slightly modified)

Ordered aluminium fenders and picked my engine up from the shop I worked at before. Going to take it all apart at home now. Heads are already off, down to splitting the lower half and cleaning it all out.

It jumps out of third gear when pulling away at the light going up the ramp for the highway and going through the gears pretty quickly. Haven't had a look yet, but anything that is a common problem with the gearbox I need to look at first?

I took my '74 cb750 out for a cool ride today.  By cool, I mean the outside temperature was 40 degrees so it dropped a bit while riding.  I bundled up and it was very invigorating.  Forcast is snow tomorrow for Portland, Oregon.  It still was a fun ride!

Looks pretty clean, does it look as good as your old one pre-accident?

I would say it looks slightly better. The guy also had a complete fork set (no rust) for $100 I should have picked up.
