Nothing like Glühwein in winter. :)

Tasty! I have a bottle home of good quality. Spiced up with Cognac, 21.5% alcohol. It's called Glögg in Sweden.
Mmmmm hot but not boiling to not loose any C2H5OH with almonds and raisins as we drink it here.

Nice! GS1100 Eric? Wiseco's? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

At least they are both Honda CB's.

Whoops - sorry Terry, I didn't know you wanted to try it out otherwise I would have loaned it to you for a few days.

Basically I found it to be too big for urban commuting and I needed the cash. So now I am close to having the 500/4 on the road - just need to get a new brake bleeder for the front calliper, muffler mounted and wiring done.

Cupla weeks!

Cinamonn and clover what we use.
Yes, those are included in the wine we buy as Glögg. Plus other spices such as cardamom, brown sugar.... I have to drive car soon so I have to wait.... I see now that it's only 21%
http://www.systembolaget.se/Sok-dryck/Dryck/?searchquery=gl%C3%B6gg&sortfield=Default&sortdirection=Ascending&hitsoffset=0&page=1&searchview=All&varugrupp=Gl%C3%B6gg+och+Gl%C3%BChwein&pris=[80%3b115%3E&groupfiltersheader=Default&artikelId=858125&varuNr=96517&filters=searchquery%2cvarugrupp%2cpris%2c

This might be off topic so I add what I have done to my bike..... I'm thinking about new shocks, IKON CB750 chrome cap, spring style. My Marzocchis will not fit OEM style with 4-4, they need to be repaired anyway.  Order next week so the credit card bill will attack another fresh salary.
More parts to the growing pile of useful stuff that can end up in a complete bike with 4-1 and more cc and power....

I believe that's Glyptol? It's a coating for smooth oil flowing if I'm not mistaken. Probably other things too. You paint it on and then bake it.

Glyptal 1201 (Some info on it below)

Although 1201 was originally developed as an insulating paint for electrical applications such as the treatment of coils and armatures, its outstanding resistance to corrosion, moisture, oil, acid, heat, dust and salt spray has made it popular throughout industry as a Primer, Sealer, Adhesive and Protective Finish. There are literally hundreds of uses for 1201.

Some of the more typical industry uses include:

Primer for structural iron and steel . General plant maintenance . Sealer for concrete floors
Primer and finish for motor, generator, and transformer housings
Anti-moisture coating on thermostat, water cooler, and truck control parts
Sealer for pipe and stud threads and vacuum systems
Anti-corrosion protection for winches ~nd other out- door apparatus
Electrical insulation for coils and armatures . Adhesive for gaskets
Coating for interior of hydraulic tanks, and bearing cases.
Superior performance from a superior paint.
Exhaustive tests conducted at the Glyptal laboratories confirm consistently favorable customer experience with 1201:
        Meets Requirements of MIL-E-22118
Flexibility is far superior to competitive red sealers on both backed and air-dried films. 1201 can take rugged impact.
        Water Resistance is excellent.
Prolonged Aging doesn't crack 1201's film, leaves no place for destructive agents to get in.
Fast Drying 1201 is tack-free in about thirty minutes at room temperature, can be baked to a beautiful smooth finish.
Heat Resistance. 1201 has got it, can withstand continuous 135°C temperatures for months.
Prolonged Heat. After 3700 hours at 35°C, there is no change in dielectric strength.
Toughness. High-gloss paints have a tender film. 1201 has a low-gloss finish, designed for great resistance to abrasion.
Adhesion. 1201 hangs on, stays where it's put-on metals, ceramic, porcelain, concrete, fibres, and wood.
Dielectric Strength is rated at 1500 volts per mil, permits thinner coating than most competitive paints.
Arc Resistance, even with air-dried films, is 480 seconds.

unfortunately the pressure relief valve isn't working so more fiddling today.

This weekend I went over the spokes, cleaned & lubed the chain and did a general clean up of my 750K6.  Front wheel was out about 1.3mm, tuned it to about 0.5mm as I checked each spoke.  Rear was below 0.5mm which surprised me  because it had several "loose" spokes.

Pulled the front brake to clean, looks like the new seal & piston I installed in the spring is leaking a little.  Ordered OEM seal to replace the one that came with the SS piston I bought, have not been happy with how the pads pull away all summer, kept adjusting it but the wheel just was not as free as before.

Disassembled carbs somewhat to be able to give them a good scrub and get rid of some road grime. Diluted simple green should take care of all that oil that's been leaking! Here comes the toothbrush, carbies!

Also, new 1/4" rubber fuel line and worm clamps just behind the bins.

I want to have the float levels more in check (2-3mm below the seal) before the spring. Would it be a terrible idea to use say... water... to get my floats right? Or is that a silly idea? Should I just suck it up and be prepared to drip a bit of gas?

Got back from vacation, and went to check on the bike.  Throttle still isn't where I want it, so I removed the spring I installed and went to a hardware store to get one with a little more tension.  From what I can gather, the one I was using was rated at something lke 2 lbs, and the one I ended up getting is rated at 11 lbs, so it's got more tension, despite being the same overall size.  Hooked it up, and it definitely has more return action than before, and easier to roll on.  Noticed that my handlebars don't have end caps, so the hollow bars are bare for all to see.  So went to a local Cycle Gear and picked up some bar-end caps.  Also stopped at a hardware store and bought a spray can of that foam filler stuff, for 1" and smaller holes (guess it doesn't expand as much).  I sprayed that inside the handlebars to help with vibration, then installed the bar-end caps.  Before I sprayed the filler and installed the throttle side end cap, I pried the plastic throttle sleeve slightly away from the bar, so I could spray some lube between the sleeve and the bar.  Sprayed the foam, installed the bar-end cap, and worked the throttle back and forth to make sure it wasn't sticking on the foam.  Feels really good now, snaps back better than before, and looks to be where I want it to be.  Now just have to let it sit overnight, and hope the weather cooperates in the next few days to road test it!

Threw a cover over it and went to start the Cagiva, and that's a whole different story...!
