Started the tear-down of the CB750 to hopefully find and repair my missing 5th gear...again  ::)
5th still no good?
Nope.  I appreciate the help a while back.  I'll start up the old thread once I crack it open.

You've done the worst part of the job, the rest is easy. I did one swingarm recently off a Z1 that took me an hour to get the rusted bolt out. Banging the bushes out is simple, putting the new ones in even simpler, don't be afraid, knowing what you're doing helps.

Don't the lucas lights look awesome on these bikes? I love mine.

They really do. Wish I had put mine on a long time ago. They look like they should have been on there from the factory.

Just did mine on my 550. I did the hacksaw method to get the old bushings out. Piece of cake. Then an all-thread rod with washers to press in the new bushings. Again, super easy.

You WILL want to pull the baffle and make your own.

I would ride today, since it is only -1C now and it will be 10C around noon, but we have a dress up day at work - the gov customer is gonna stop by.  I had to do my hair, wear a skirt and high heels are hard to shift with too  ;D ;D

You could ride side saddle and use lots of hair spray without a helmet so your hair doesn't get messed up ::)

Something like that.  ;D

Back in Prague I would pick up my wife from work on a motorcycle every so often.  She was usually in narrow skirt and high heels and it was a trick to get her on the back seat and make her stay there  ;)

Thanks! I'm happy with how it turned out, Marc/Powderman's work is amazing, that lettering is actually powder coated, not paint.

Made a parts list and set the parts on the frame. 23 items and six hundred dollars, c'mon tax refund. I'm gonna start a build thread next week, anyone who has spare parts for a 73 cb350f please pm me pricing and part lists. I'd rather keep the money between fourm members but DSS will suffice. Any real good deals i'll donate the difference to the site. Availability is kinda slim and i'd like to keep it original. It's V.I.N # CB350f-1032483 , are there any resources to find out the particulars of that vin? Knowing as much as possible before you start saves a lot of time and headaches. Cant wait to build this mofo. ;D 8)

Stripped the original paint off, broke the gas tank lock in the process. Wanted to get it professionally done but turned out I could handle it. Anyone know where I could get an new lock?
