Got the carbs on and mounted, installed a battery, installed a set of exhaust pipes from a G (shaft drive)  model, cleaned and gapped the plugs
added some gasoline and...

Pulled this out of the Batcave today and dragged it home....

Bought this about 4 years ago from a hot Cowgirl in San Antonio for $300.

Looked like this...

I lost interest in it when I bought my K4, but it's time to have a little fun with it and get it roadworthy.

Wow, she looks angry Steve, I would have thought she'd be happy to unload that POS for 300 bucks! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I replaced the ignition coils on my cb400F2, the kit that followed for the mounting was kinda wierd.. And the picture shows what i came up with :D.
But it was kinda fun spending time in the shop with some 80's music on the radio, trying to figure out how to make it fit.
Anyhow, now im off to put in some new spark plugs to make it start right up with no hassle this upcomming season! Insurance is valid from 1. march

Best Regards
from Denmark, scandinavia!

They look like a great start. What cleaning solution do you use?

For what you're doing, his book is perfect! Just stay organized.

After I did the initial job and then ran it for 500 or so miles I was able to re pull the engine re tighten the head bolts re install, and fire it back up in just a weekend. And I'm still a total noob. With that being said, it didnt leak in the 405k miles I put on it last summer.

Sort a, kind a got it back together yesterday. I still need to hang the mufflers but then the potential buyer came by and requested a 4-into-1 exhaust.
So, today, I will re-jet for the exhaust and rebuild the baffle in the unit that I will be installing. As it sat last night (blurry pic)...

I also have a frame kit, so no pulling engine needed. I'll probably do the initial torque, wait 24 hours and check again, and then re-check after ~500km.

Oh yeah, then if you have the frame kit, it's going to be a piece of cake.

Yeah I did the wait 24 hour trick and still re checked and found they were 1-2lbs looser so it was good.

The new owner is changing the handlebar which is actually quite comfortable when laid back from that position.
Today was refresh a pair of 30 year old shocks day. During and after pic's...

Three hours of wire wheel, steel wool and polish to finish a pair. Whoopee!

50-50 Water and Simple Green HD Pro.

Thanks! I will have to look out for that HD formula as it is the only one that doesn't turn the carb bodies (aluminum) an ugly gray. YUK!
