Recently posted about a Boos Maroon K4 I just finished and put on the road. Today was rainy and cold so hit the shop in the afternoon and pulled out a K2 to finish. Bought it at an estate auction of a deceased owner during a terrible thunderstorm I remember, got soaked. It had a Vetter and some other goodies on it. Had that stuff stripped off and had already cleaned the carbs, new fuel lines, set tappets, new plugs, oil, cleaned front brake, etc and ran the engine off a bottle so it checked out well before storing again. I always do the engines and start up before going too deep on new projects to make sure they are worthy. Today I replaced the rear fender which was bent, installed a grab bar and turn signals, reflectors on the fork ears,finished off the headlight and fixed some interesting wiring he had to the rear end. All the lights, signals, beepers etc check out good now. The poor previous owner had just put new Dunlop front and rear tires on before he died so good to go there, still got the nubs. Not my favorite color but descent original paint, pic shows some weird glare. Next step when the weather gets better is to do a quickie tank clean and install, mount airbox, buff her up a little and finally get it out on the road where it belongs and move on to the next deal.
