People are after original breadboxes?

I have one in the parts box, might be a bit rusty, I may just have to pull it out and chuck it on eBay.

Pm me a price on the breadbox Cliff, doesn't matter if its got surface rust, ..

I just put a breadbox on my f0...and am really impressed.  With light green UNI foam sheet trimmed to fit it runs great...120 mains, airscrews 1/2 turn out, all other settings stock except for a properly baffled 4-1, it has perfect part throttle response.  It  does seem to want a little more choke for longer than the stock airbox, but it is still cold here in Michigan.

Went for a nice ride around the reservoir. Still a little chilly, especially when it's cloudy. Bike feels really great. Sometimes though...happened twice... the bike shuts off when I come to a stop. Almost always when I slow to pull into my driveway and every so often at a light or stop sign. Idle is about 1,100 or 1,200.

Also, building a new seat. Round bar skeleton. Maybe this week I'll skin it with sheet steel. Yes, it's very Kott-esque. He makes nice looking seats.

Thanks dude. You mean in terms of materials? Not much so far. 1/4" rod and 18ga steel is pretty cheap. Something like $30 so far maybe...that doesn't include the English wheel or ring roller I had to buy for this project though, haha. But I'm a firm believer in gathering as many tools as possible to help fabricating.

I'm 5'6" and inseam is 31". It fits pretty well, but if it was any farther back it would be uncomfortable.

Almost finished painting the bread box.


Have to sand down two small drips and coat it with a last coat.

Also, reminder to self: don't leave your toolbox open and on the floor when there 7 untrained puppies running around...

Got my new rear tire in the mail...

Same as before, just not worn down! Bridgestone Spitfire 130/90-17. Going to my father in laws to change it on the weekend (he has tire changer!)



Also checked the fluid level in my battery... almost all bare! No wonder my smart charger was bleeping at me! Filled with distilled... going to do a load test tomorrow.

12 hour marathon, but I got my K2 engine 95% buttoned up.

Fixed my flat.

  So working to get a K2 road worthy. Have it running and ready just need a gas tank. Tank interior and cap was quite rusty, forgot pic. I am a 'The Works" guy. Put in some nuts and bolts and sealed the bottom petcock holes with a plate and rubber strip. Put in a bottle and a half of the works and installed an expandable rubber plumber plug at the filler. Had already put a coat of unbuffed wax on tank and also kept wet with a hose in case of a leak. Shake baby shake, sideways, upside down shake shake shake. Let the acid do its thing. Carefully took off top bung, there will be pressure. Emptied works through petcock hole, thoroughly flushed with water along with a baking soda rinse.
  The key to success is drying quickly so hooked up my reversible 165mph shop vac and quickly blew it dry. Installed petcock, added a gallon or so of gas with a dash of two stroke oil. Boom baby done in around 2-3 hours and ready to move on to the next little project.

We hit a red light about a KM later... pulled up next to him, but decided against exchanging words. Not worth it.

All new motorcycles should come with horn buttons on both sides of the bars... that way we can lay on the horn AND flip the bird!

New rod holder with pilot lamps for K6 from z1-parts-inc.
No HONDA text, but correct order of pilot lamps with highbeam for K6.
The other replicas for the older bikes with Honda text, Beam instead of Highbeam look cheap.
The HONDA text should be relief, text that a blind person can read with finger. Strange that NOS can not be found
