Very nice bracket indeed! Love the CB750 detail!

I've made a small spraybooth today and painted my frame, swing arm, exhaust, headlight and triple. A few smalls will get done this weekend!

Went on my first ride this year. I made a new seat cover this winter, I have a few clutch and rough idle issues to work out and it's dirty as heck.
But riding season is here in SE Idaho and I'm giddy as a little kid!  ;)

Yes for a WEAK battery... but it is now completely kaput.

Cut my shift and brake lever so I can weld them to my rear sets. I shortened the brake lever and then I had to bend the kickstarter because it didn't clear my brake lever.

New soft luggage for trip to Dolomites/Alps tomorrow!
« Reply #19787 on: May 09, 2015, 09:11:42 AM »
Put on new magnetic tank bag from Oxford (expanded to 40 liters) and tail bag from Bags Connection (expanded to 38 liters). I bought them just a few days ago, but I let you know how they hold up after the trip. Luggage is never pretty, but I use my bikes for long trips only now, so...I do have hard luggage too, but it will only work if I relocate the rear signals to a German-specs tail-light bracket. I have done this before for my Africa trip, and will do so again when going to Spain and Portugal later this year. The challenge for this old man is to swing the right leg over the bike. Weird, never was a problem 30, 40 years ago.

I have been gone so long that I forgot what I might have posted so bear with me if some are duplicates.
From my Kitty Kat basket case project...

I actually lifted the bike off of the engine to get it out as it was a tight fit/precarious by my self.

I still have to adjust the valves, inspect the clutch and starter clutch, attach side case covers and re-install engine. The carbs also need a complete rebuild before I will be happy.

After spending the winter rebuilding the engine on my cb750k5 I started it up for the first time.

Under cut gears from cyclex (was slipping out of second) all new seals and gaskets, 836 kit and mls head gasket, ape studs, and recut valves.

I finally got to put the tank and seat on with the wheel and rear fender in place. Couldn't be happier! Didn't mount the oil tank as it's awkward to handle and heavy,  so will do that when I don't have to take it out anymore.

I want as little chrome or aluminum on the bike, so I've painted my aluminum exhaust. Berner for the black,  Motip for the white.

Riding home from Chapel Hill today & the clutch cable broke about 10 miles from home, limped to father in laws house to avoid traffic.

I think it is the original 40 year old cable, not awful,  ::)

Ordered a new one a few min ago.  something to do this week.

I made a custom bracket for a cb500 cafe I am building for a friend (he is paying hard costs).
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

I had just the opposite thing happen to me yesterday.  My new motion pro cable broke and had to call the wife to bring me the original....  I had the POS Motion Pro out by the time she got there and the worn OEM on and tensioned in minutes...
