I need a little helper like that.

+1  My daughter was just never that good at being a "son"!

That's funny. My oldest daughter is the girly type and my youngest is the tom boy..

Synched the carbs, Mikuni TMR32. Strange that a users guide how to adjust and do service are not supplied with expensive carbs. I get a guide when buying a toaster for $20US!

I managed to synch anyway after I have seen the construction and made a small test on carb 4. These carbs have nuts to be turned a little to adjust carb 1-3-4 to get same vacuum as fixed carb 2.

My original K3 got its HM341 pipes cleaned by hand so they are presentable next weekend at the ROCKER-BOX Moto-Fest.  I changed the jets from 120s to 115s because a friend said he could smell the fuel when following me. I knew the bike was a little rich but I wanted it that way for some sea-level riding. Now thinking the 115s will be good for moderate elevations. I also cleaned and oiled the K & N air-filter..........first time since it was installed in '75 ;D

After walking away from my 95% rebuilt CJ360T two years ago I finally installed the Pamco ignition I bought a year ago and got it fired up and timed yesterday.

Been busy doing non-bike related things for a while but it's time to finish up some projects.

Decided to upgrade the look of my bike with a better looking tank. I have used a black scratched set when tuning carbs, change cams etc when I do not want to scratch my latest tank setup in Candy Sapphie Blue from Yamiya750. I have an Ok setup in Freedom Green that I can use until I have done the final change on the bike.

The old repainted tank have some rust inside that I should have removed earlier. Now only 5L  vinegar, 12% concentration the weakest we have here unless the salad versions with half conc that cost much more. I might have bought 24% version for a quicker derust.

I'll buy additional 10-12L 12% vinegar today to speed up the derust. Let tank be positioned in different angles take longer time. I can hopefully reuse the vinegar in my avatar K6 tank that I plan to fix to OEM look.
12% solution work rather quick.

To the supemarket again for additional 13L vinegar, 12% version. Plundered the shelf with 12% vinegar ;D
Filled the tank completely. When done I'll store the vinegar in a 20L petrol can to be reused in another tank I have.
I guess it will be OK tomorrow afternoon 48 hours after first 5L went in.

Took her out on a ride from Newport News to Smithfield (est 1752) and back, about 120 miles.  Bike ran great, altho I'm a little concerned about pulling 5000 rpms at 60 mph.  But since that's half the way to redline, I guess that's okay.  I might have to check the rear sprocket, and see if it's the stock one, because that seems like a lot of rpms at 60 mph to me.  But then again, my other bikes are v-twins, which pull less rpms at 60 mph, so maybe it's okay...

Bike transformed to  more OEM like than it has been since over 33 years. It is a K6-76 now look like a K2/K4-74 with the Freedom Green Metallic and K2 swing arm that CB750 guys will notice.

good you not have to get it at the  "monopolet"..vas there not a limit oif 2 bottels pr person number....
Monopolet...Systembolaget... no limits at all, amount as well as the price! No vinegar here, only alcohol.

Why not use HG rust converter? Works like a charm! Used it on a badly rusted oil tank and it cleaned it out in half an hour. One bottle might do a tank, but it's not super expensive.
Was a chromed tank as well and it didn't damage it at all. Probably will eat your paint if you don't rinse it right away.

I have read so much about vinegar as a soft way to derust tanks inside without risk of eating thru the metal or harm the paint.
I got the idea on Saturday morning, took my car to the supermarket and bought 5L vinegar. Understood that I was too cheap and went for additional 13L on Sunday and filled tank completely. I verified tank volume when I could fill it with 17.5 bottles that most likely has a little extra in each 1L bottle (+ 3-4cl)

I have a complete tank clean/derust and sealing kit (Restom Super kit) that I planned to use. But I changed my mind when reading about eventual difficulties with sealers and the tank was rather good, no holes what I have seen (yet).

Vinegar in tank 48 hours in total (28 hours completely full). Saved vinegar in a spare plastic gas tank for my red avatar tank. Flushed tank with warm water plus brushed inside with a bottle brush.
After a few times with tap water, drained almost all water, filled with 2L conc. alcohol (for car windscreen washer tank) that diluted water to more alcohol than water. Drained tank again and direct 0.7L white spirit and 2 spoons of motor oil and shaked the tank. Out with that and in with 0.5 L gasoline and shaked the tank again and drained tank for last time.

Mounted a new fuel petcock, tank on bike and filled it with Shell V-power. Started bike and let it idle for 5-10 minutes. No signs of water in fuel..

Vinegar is awesome! Using a pressure washer to rinse the inside out makes the tank like new. I have done it many times. Not once have I had flash rusting.

Never thought of incorporating a power washer. Genius.
be careful to not blow out a rust-weakened area/seam  :o

using a wide stream should help reduce pressure somewhat. Don't use a straight jet!
