I see deer every morning on the way in to work.......5:00 am...............been blessed not to have them run in front of me....!

I have heard that deer is tasty!

I did another test run today between the heavy showers, now with larger pilot jets.
Raised the needles when back home again (did all 4 within 20 minutes. Tank-on-off 10 minutes + all needles in another 10). The needles in Mikuni TMR take affect from low throttle lift DIRECT after idle. I'll hopefully verify tomorrow that the carbs finally are almost perfect

Nothing, YET.... chomping at the bit!!

Honda called. My oil orifice jet o-rings came in. Time to finish the engine.My Avons came in. Time to get my Lesters set up. My frame has had Gordons Kit installed and ready to pick up.

Sounds like I can start putting a bike, er my 1000 Hot Rod together.

Put in new stainless socket head bolts for chainguard (M6x14) and bar clamps (M8x40).

Disassembled some stock forks, cleaned and installed new fork seals, they are to replace the bent chopper forks that came on the bike.

Re-set my timing statically, synced my carbs, then took it for a 4-hour run. Beautiful day!

Fitted the new back wheel that Cal sent me, to my sweet ride...........

The massive torque of my twin engined bike destroyed the spokes on my old one, so hopefully the thicker spokes and stiffer, wider rim will stop the new wheel squirming under it's awesome power.

Tomorrow, we ride!

Great bike. Everything selfmade?

Got my old 750 KO doublecut-fender back from de-rusting and re-chromeing. Still some dents but thats OK to me. Dont have a living room bike.
Next, I will put some silver paint inside. Bought "hammerite".

They were rusty chrome when I got them...the guy I bought the bike from had them laying around his shop so I have no idea what they are.

I painted them and one side was pre-drilled in the right position, the other side I needed to drill through the bottom to bring the wires down for the horn and blinkers.

It went really smoothly though!

Thanks mate, yep, I built the layshaft assembly using a CB750 front axle as the layshaft itself, and somehow it's managed to handle the awesome power of those two stroke power-houses.

Re: your fender, make sure you scrub all the chemicals from underneath before you paint it, chrome platers are usually pretty lazy about doing this, and that's half the reason why they start to rust underneath so early after plating. Cheers, Terry.

Decided to sync the carbs. Picture shows what they were like before sync. Got caught up in the moment of getting better than the photo and then forgot to take the after sync photo. Was rushed for time as well with the wife on her way home. Needless to say the bike is running great.

Carb rather OK before sync.
Mine were worse. My ears verified the instrument.
