I could not do with my bike as intended due to thunder and heavy rain. Drive it to verfy low speed with synced carbs. Must run smooth without jerky throttle response.
Synced my carbs again.
Other cam installed = sync carbs? I cannot find other reason than different cam and valve adjustment. Mikuni TMR throttle adjusters real PITA!
Unless you separated the carb bodies, or removed the slides, there is really no reason to re-sync
Only thing is raised needles in all 4, different pilot jets. Maybe the adjuster nuts that can move. I'll see if they change again. Threadlocker (blue) might be too tough.
If you touch the slides, another vacuum sync is advisable.
I do not think I changed the slides when the needles were lifted without lifting anything else except fot the cover and an allen head nut keeping needel in place. Lift needle with a thin plier or similar. Slide is the black rectangualt plastic thing...
I noticed that the carb sync affect each other. When one carb is too high, the engine rpm arise and make more vaccum in the other.
The nut with blue dot is sync adjustment. The mikuni spare part chart call this for lock nut, but its design is concentric and will affect the slide position. The idle is now better than ever, now more like r-r-r-r-, before more d-d-d-d.
I have to drive and see if the nuts vibrates in different positions and out of sync.
I'll use Loctite 222 next time
http://www.loctite.co.uk/loctite-4087.htm?nodeid=8802623422465 I'll search, find and order right now. Good stuff to have.
EDIT: I might have moved the slides when the nut that cover the needle was tightened rather hard. I tightened it with the allen screwdriver before but had to use an angled tool for removal next time.
