About 700 km into my trip I noticed oil on the right side of the bike. Did some searching and figured it was probably the crankcase breather hose. Trip to the local parts store got me some 5/16" ID oil line that did the trick with some clamps.

20 km outside of town I lost power to the bike! Pulled over to the side of the road, allowed myself a few seconds of panic and doubt, then started troubleshooting. Blew the 7.5 amp fuse. Check connections at the back of the bike and all looks okay. Replaced with a spare fuse, turn the key, and no lights. Tap the ignition switch connector and get flickering. Aha! Pulled it apart and found some wires pulling away from the blade connectors. Really happy I bought the Honda toolkit parts. Between that and a Swiss army knife I was able to recrimp the connectors, and away I went. Put about another 500 km on the bike that day.

Put the engine back in

Ground the kickstand tab to make sure the kickstand has the right angle when out.

Triple post Steve? Well I said it before and I'll say it again, that bike looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. "Abomination of the month" nominee? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yesterday was tune up day for my '78K/F, and continued work on the '79 CB750 DOHC.
The wife was working a 14hr shift and the kids were playing in the 'hood, so I pulled both out of the garage and got after it.
The '79 needed idle circuit plug chops, so i got it running and under a fan.  Vacuum sync'd done too.  Making small adjustments in these VB carbs to richen the idle circuit.  Its got a K/Q seat w a sissy bar on it.  Kids sure love rides.
Valves, cam chain done on the '78.
Swapped out 120 mains for 115's (dyno discussions w/Brewsky..and duanob for mentioning my rich-looking exh.)
Cleaned points. Timing/Advance done. Installed replacement HM ignition unit
(Last one had a bad board per HM.  He quickly replaced it..no questions)
Oiled and wiped down the chain.
It purrs  8)

I rode the CB400f that I now own for the second time, it's got a notchy neck bearing. I moved the (guliari style) solo seat from the drag bike project to the K0 hot rod, worked on the Harley muffler mounts for the gl1000. moved them all out so the chassis jig can come out of the shop then put them all back in.
